Geography
The Wrath of Thor is a sea channel between the islands of Mount Villainy and Hysteria. It freezes over during the winter months, connecting the two islands. It is also deep enough for large sea dragons such as the Doomfang to reside in.

How to Cheat a Dragon's Curse
The Wrath of Thor prominently features in Book 4 as the living area for a Doomfang. The presence of this immense sea dragon has effectively isolated the Hysteric Tribe on their island for most of the year, as they cannot sail in the water. In Winter, however, the sea freezes and traps the Doomfang below the ice, allowing some traffic off the island. Hiccup, Camicazi, and One Eye must traverse the frozen Wrath of Thor to obtain a mythical vegetable from Hysteria.
