Wendy is Alexandra Gonzalez's personal AI assistant. She first appeared in the episode "Featherhide" and is voiced by Kimberly Brooks.
History[]
Dragons: The Nine Realms[]
Season 1[]
Wendy has a soft female voice, and responds to Alex in a familiar, friendly fashion.
In "Featherhide", Alex asked Wendy how many times Tom had snuck past the ICARIS perimeter sensors, to which the AI replies that the boy did it ten times. Later, when Alex says “Lights off Wendy.", Wendy responds with “Good night Alex.” before turning off the lights in Alex's room, and shutting down.
Season 7[]
In "404 Alex Not Found", Alex tries to spend some time to herself, so she and Wendy play a digital chess game on her tablet. However, everyone keeps pestering Alex to help them preventing her and Wendy from having their chess game which really bothers Alex. Later when everyone coincidentally meets up in the lair, Tom suggests a plan to get back the Book of Dragons and asks Alex to borrow the tablet, but Alex refuses and wants to go back to her chess game with Wendy. Tom thinks Alex spends too much time with her calling her a fake friend. In response, Wendy purposely calls him Tom out of spite. Alex starts reaching a breaking point and defends Wendy and calls out everyone else. After arguing and Thunder accidently shorting out the Tablet, Alex becomes worried about Wendy as she doesn't respond so she leaves into the Crystal Realm to be alone. Feeling bad, the others go to get the tablet fixed and Wendy back online. So, after taking it Alex's moms, they fix the tablet and Wendy kindly greets them. Later after rescuing Alex from Buzzsaw, Tom hands Alex her tablet with Wendy operational again which Alex is happy to see.
Functions[]
As a digital assistant, Wendy is programmed to analyse various tasks and recognize Alex's voice. She is connected to the electrical system of Alex's dome, as she is able to turn off the lights, and shut herself down automatically.
Trivia[]
- Wendy is, so far, the only non-living voiced character in the franchise.
