Biography
Physical Appearance[]
Webmaster is the sole representative of its species in the franchise, and therefore all knowledge about this Deadly Spinner is derived from him. Webmaster's skin exhibits a light blue coloration with purple specks scattered across his body. He possesses three pairs of legs and two slender arms, each armed with three pointed claws. Additionally, he has a prominent horn protruding from his nose and green eyes. Notably, Webmaster's tail is adorned with a triangular spade-shaped structure.
Personality[]
Webmaster is a very warm and welcoming Deadly Spinner, being openly affectionate and friendly to those around him, especially his rider and teammates. He is shown to possess little fear of humans, despite having no interaction with them prior to meeting the Dragon Club and seems to be very curious of new people and dragons he comes into contact with. And when he really likes somebody, or wants to show he does, he likes to cuddle his face against another person's, despite a slight discomfort. He is also very fun-loving and playful, enjoying whenever he and Eugene play together. He is also exceptionally grateful to those who help and rescue him, as it was Eugene saving him from a pair of Flame Throwers that solidified their bond.
Despite his seemingly gentle nature, Webmaster is capable of being fierce and defensive during combat and can be quite aggressive to those who he feels are enemies. This could be seen during his initial encounter with Eugene and Jun after he was attacked by a pack of Flame Thrower dragons, during which he acted aggressively towards the two humans, though made no attempt to harm them unless they first attacked him.
Similar to his rider, Webmaster possesses a playful nature and takes pleasure in assisting Eugene with pranks directed towards fellow riders and their dragons. However, it should be noted that these pranks are intended to be playful and never with ill intent. Webmaster is also more emotionally sensitive than Eugene, experiencing profound distress when his mischievous actions result in negative reactions from other dragons within the Club.
Abilities[]
Web Blasts: As a Deadly Spinner, Webmaster is able to fire a flaming web-like material from his mouth that harden immediately after hitting their targets. These are extremely sticky, being very difficult for creatures caught in them to escape. This makes his webs very useful for capturing enemies or rogue dragons. These webs have also demonstrated a remarkable amount of heat resistance, being able to touch and plug-in molten magma holes for a considerable period of time before dissolving.
Wall Scaling: Like a spider, Webmaster's legs are capable of sticking to a variety of different surfaces without any signs of struggling. This allows him to be stealthy and silently sneak up on enemies without them noticing.
Relationships[]
Eugene Wong[]
Main article: Eugene and Webmaster's Relationship |
Webmaster first met his rider, when Eugene was exploring the Crystal Realm in search of a dragon to train. When the two first encountered each other, however, the two started off on hostile terms, with Webmaster acting aggressively after being attacked by a pack of Flame Throwers and Eugene standing up to the dragon to protect his sister. After Eugene inadvertently saved his life, however, the dragon was immediately thankful to him, to the point of hugging him. Though Eugene was initially uncomfortable with the dragon's affections, the two soon bonded, developing a quick yet powerful friendship. The two even showed impressive teamwork, with Eugene riding Webmaster to defeat the remaining Flame Throwers, despite having had no previous training together.
Since becoming Eugene's dragon and joining the Dragon Club, the two have developed a strong and affectionate bond with each other, considering each other best friends and always having the other's back. Webmaster loves and is very loyal to his rider, always being at his side when trouble arises. Eugene, in turn, cares deeply about his dragon and is very doting to Webmaster while also taking his feelings into account and helping him bond with the other dragons in the group. Webmaster will also help Eugene carry out his pranks on the Club members, much to both theirs and their dragon's chagrin.
It was revealed in "Webs' Masters" that Eugene never really had a real friend, until he and Webmaster met for the first time. And when the Deadly Spinner was under the venomous mind control of the Deathgrippers, Eugene confessed this to him, especially that he would never forget their bond with each other. This proves that their relationship has grown stronger as the series progresses, and it helped Webs break free from the venom's control over him. They love each other very dearly and have fun together like brothers.
In "Heart of Glass", however, it is subtly revealed that he can sometimes be slightly annoyed by Eugene's berating and mocking of someone else's failure; and he shows this by being visibly relieved when Thunder silenced Eugene for berating Tom's failure to keep Sledkin imprisoned.
Tom Kullersen[]
Webmaster gets along with and respects Tom as the leader of the Dragon Club. Tom also finds Webmaster to be a very impressive dragon, and considers him to be a valuable member of the Dragon Club. Despite this, Webmaster is not above pranking Tom when Eugene orders him to, such as in "Magma Comes to the Surface", when the Deadly Spinner fired at and entangled Tom in one of his nets.
Jun Wong[]
At first, Jun was terrified of Webmaster over his spider-like appearance due to her arachnophobia, while Webmaster was initially hostile towards her due to having just been attacked by a pair of Flame Throwers. Despite being aggressive towards her, he didn't attack her and instead displayed curiosity over her. After Webmaster and Eugene bonded, he and Jun became on good terms, with her overcoming her fear of him entirely. She has since been shown to be grateful to Webmaster, noticing how his bonding with Eugene has slowly made her brother mature and thereby mending their previously strained relationship. Despite this, she will get mad at Webmaster when he helps Eugene prank the riders and dragons in the Club.
D'Angelo Baker[]
Webmaster and D'Angelo tend to get along with each other, though the latter will become annoyed at the former whenever he joins his rider in pranking the Dragon Club's members and dragons. Despite this, D'Angelo acknowledges Webmaster as an impressive dragon and has shown admiration at his abilities. He also appreciates the positive impact the dragon has had on the previously immature and abrasive Eugene.
Alexandra Gonzalez[]
Webmaster has been shown to get along with his rider's teammate. Like the other Club members, Alex is shown to be impressed with Webmaster and considers him a valuable addition to the Club. She also appreciates the role he has had in shaping the Club's newest member, Eugene, into a much more mature and responsible individual and dragon rider. However, she does express annoyance whenever the dragon helps Eugene carry out pranks on the Club members and dragons. After being rescued from a Yetiwing, alongside Feathers, the two became more appreciative of each other and how well the two dragons got along.
Olivia Kullersen[]
Olivia did feel a little uncomfortable around Webmaster during their first meeting, even when he nuzzled his head on her to show he liked her. But while they rarely interact, Webmaster knew Olivia was the mother of the club's human leader, Tom. He also cared about her well-being and would do everything he could to protect her.
May Wong[]
Webmaster officially meets Eugene's mother, May Wong, for the first time In "Deep Freeze". She, in turn, was shocked and speechless when she saw the dragon up close with her son riding on him as Eugene declared that he made headlights for him. During season 6, he has grown to respect her for doing what she can to understand how to protect the well-being of him and his fellow dragons, and she has come to respect him for his friendship with her son.
When Jörmungandr threatened all life in the Hidden World and on the surface, she knew that the kids would be sad if ICARIS closed down and the dragons had to return to hiding. Though she was sad Webmaster and the dragons did go back to the Hidden World to stay hidden, she still loved him enough to keep his existence a secret.
Hazel Gonzalez[]
Hazel first met Webmaster, along with all the other dragons, in "Deep Freeze". Initially shocked by this, she was more than willing to give them a chance to be friends. In "Eugene's Lean Mean Extreme Dream Team", she learns how to make him blast his webs at a target and seems to have fun for a while. Even though it didn't last long, both the biologist and the Deadly Spinner respect each other.
Thunder[]
Thunder is the leader of Dragon Club's dragons, including Webmaster. Webmaster respects Thunder as both a teammate and leader, and will follow his commands during battle. Despite this, Thunder has been shown to act aggressively towards Webmaster due to the Deadly Spinner's mischievousness, which has left Webmaster deeply saddened. Despite this, Thunder does care about Webmaster's wellbeing and the two have been shown to work very well together during the Club's missions, especially during battle.
Wu and Wei[]
Wu and Wei are the dragon of the sister of Webmaster's rider, Jun. Much like how Jun was initially unwelcoming of Eugene into the club, Wu and Wei were initially very unwelcoming of Webmaster, due to both his pranks and his association with Eugene, whom the Mist Twister isn't very fond of. Though Webmaster was hurt by the two-headed dragon's coldness towards him, he still considers Wu and Wei friends and they have both been shown to work effectively as teammates during missions.
Plowhorn[]
Plowhorn, like the other Club dragons was initially distrustful and unwelcoming of Webmaster when he joined the Club, due to the Deadly Spinner's tendency to pull pranks on them, despite their intentions being lighthearted. Though this left Webmaster emotionally, hurt, he still cares about Plowhorn and has shown to work effectively alongside her during missions.
Feathers[]
Like the other Club dragons, Feathers was initially unwelcoming towards Webmaster due to the Deadly Spinner's mischievous nature, even when he attempted to make friends with her. Despite being hurt by this, Webmaster still considers Feathers a friend and they are shown to work very well together during missions. They also learned how to get along when they got lost in a storm in "Uncharted Territory". Feathers kept him company, and Webs made them a little fire to keep warm. Webs helped Feathers to stay warm and gained trust from her as he was trying to protect her from the Yetiwing as he went out to check the surroundings. She even hid Webmaster from the Yetiwing before being captured, showing she cared about his well-being just as much as he did for hers. She also nuzzled him at the end, showing to have bonded with him.
Shadow[]
Webmaster is shown to be friendly towards Shadow as the baby Night Light playfully jumped on the Deadly Spinner's nasal horn.
Buzzsaw[]
Webmaster views Buzzsaw as both a threat and enemy due to his unhinged and aggressive nature and need to kill him and his friends, especially after he was willing to feed him and Eugene to the Flame Throwers.
In "Of Gods and Monsters", Buzzsaw came to the riders for help when Jack was injured from an attack by the World Serpent. Webmaster felt distrustful of the logger, especially after trying to harm him and his friends, but when he saw that Buzzsaw was telling the truth and fully Bonded with Jack, he began to trust him a little. Buzzsaw also repaid their help by telling them where Sledkin's secret lab was and helping the dragons injured by Jörmungandr while the riders stopped the Serpent.
Wilma Sledkin[]
After Sledkin almost killed the Riders and the dragons with a cave-in like the other dragons Sledkin is an enemy of Webmaster.
