The Viking Spearhead is an ancient Viking artifact that was discovered by the Dragon Club in the Hidden World.
History[]
Modern-Day Discovery[]
In “Follow the Lightning, Part 2”, the spearhead was discovered by Tom Kullersen in a silver covered section of the Hidden World, following the Dragon Club’s battle with his dragon, Thunder’s arch-rival, the massive Titan Wing Skrill that before had chased off his family. During the battle, Tom and Thunder managed to defeat the fearsome dragon, and in doing so they had inadvertently opened a passage to the “Fire Realm” of the Hidden World when they knocked the Skrill into a silver wall.
After the wounded Skrill escaped through the hole, the Dragon Club went to observe the newly discovered Fire Realm, where Tom found and discovered the spearhead embedded in a piece of silver. To his and the other riders’ shock, the spearhead contained the same dragon symbol as Tom’s Viking helmet. Discovering the spearhead causes the riders to realize that they aren’t the first humans to have visited the Hidden World and encourages them to explore it more in order to find the answers they seek.
Physical Appearance[]
The spearhead is a small pointed arrow with a silver-colored sketching of the Strike Class symbol of the Night Fury near the bottom. It appears to be painted grey, but the paint seems to have faded considerably in some areas, causing it to take on a more brownish and rusted hue.
Function[]
It can be assumed that the spearhead was once a weapon used in combat, having been attached to the pole of a spear to be used for stabbing attacks against enemies. In the modern era, its purpose is as a historical artifact.
Trivia[]
- Like with Tom’s helmet, it is implied that, based on the Night Fury symbol they share, that both objects were constructed by the Hairy Hooligan Tribe.
