Viggo's Daggers are weapons used by Viggo Grimborn in different circumstances.
Design[]
Unlike most knives/daggers like Hiccup's, Astrid's, Dagur's, and Johann's daggers, Viggo's daggers resembles one of Eret's Swords, but it is a little shorter and blunter than his, thus making it not a very effective weapon. Viggo also used them to call/lure or tame dragons, as he had dropped one of them into the ocean to create vibrations to call the Submaripper and another to lure a wild Skrill to him, which is an old Berserker trick that they had used to lure Skrills into their traps. The handle also seems somewhat durable as after the Skrill's lightning bolt hit the dagger’s blade, Viggo didn’t suffer an injury as his hand should have been burnt to a crisp.
History[]
Dragons: Race to the Edge, Season 4[]
While going with Hiccup to stop Ryker in "Shell Shocked, Part 2", Viggo tells Toothless to stop in the middle of the ocean. He then takes out his dagger, appearing as if he wanted to kill Hiccup. Before he could do anything, Astrid appears and tells him to stop, making Hiccup aware of Viggo's action. Viggo then says that he had wanted to drop it all along and lets it fall into the water. A Submaripper submerges, revealing Viggo's plan.
Dragons: Race to the Edge, Season 6[]
Strangely, Viggo manages to get his dagger back (he presumably made a new one or had a spare), as he is seen using it again in "Triple Cross" as his secondary weapons. When he tricks Hiccup and Toothless to come to him alone, Viggo use his dagger to set off a mechanism that he had created, which shoots a bola around Toothless' mouth, rendering him unable to fire. Later Hiccup and Toothless went after a Skrill, Viggo took out his dagger and showed it to the wild dragon, explaining how the Berserker Tribe used to lure Skrills into their traps, using metal daggers, as the dragons are attracted to them due to their electrical properties. He manages to tame the Skrill that way. Once they got the Skrill, Viggo later dropped the dagger on the tower so the Skrill can be use as a diversion when they were at Johann's base. It was presumably destroyed when the Skrill blast one of the towers up.
Later when Viggo and the duo were caught, Viggo pulled an identical dagger, revealing he has several, to show that he "betrayed" Hiccup. It is unknown what happened to this dagger after Viggo's death.
Games[]
Dragons: Rise of Berk[]
Viggo's dagger appears in this game as a collectible item that can be found by the Legendary Submaripper during its searches. It can be later used to trade in minion collections of regular Submarippers.

Trivia[]
- They may be based off a Gladius, a Roman short sword, but shorter, to the size of a large dagger.
- Viggo's Daggers are similar to the dagger Stoick had in the first film during his meeting in the Great Hall and the dagger he used in "We Are Family, Part 1" to carve a wooden duck. Gobber also has his own, where Mildew mentions it as Bork's "dragon-gutting dagger" (the same dagger Gobber placed on the chest that had Bork's Papers), and the dagger Krogan used to try to kill Viggo in "The Wings of War, Part 2".
