“ | Now, I am tempted to kill you right here, and that would teach you not to hurt my feelings ever again. However, as I am very soft-hearted I will overlook your rudeness if you do me a tiny favour. [src] | ” |
— Very-Vicious the Visithug |
Very-Vicious the Visithug is the chief of the Visithug Tribe, first seen in How to Train Your Hogfly.
Biography[]
Confrontation with Stoick[]
After finding out that he wasn't invited to the Inter-Tribe Summer-tide Friendly Bury the Hatchet Games, Very-Vicious surprised Stoick in his house, threatening to kill him for the betrayal. However, he agreed to not do it if Hiccup could train his untrainable hunting dragon, Hellsbells the Hogfly. He and his Visithugs left for Peaceable Country where they intended to hunt Peaceables. Unbeknownst to him, Hiccup sent a warning message to the tribe and when Very-Vicious arrived, there were no Peaceables in sight. The Visithugs resorted to hunting sheep for a week before Very-Vicious returned to Berk for his Hogfly. Hiccup tricked Very-Vicious into believing that Hellsbells is trained, by making it fetch a Throatgoggler egg (which looked identical to an apple), a task which the other hunting dragons refused to do. Very-Vicious was impressed by this and officially forgave Stoick for hurting his feelings. He left his hunting dragons on Berk, saying that he has no use for disobedient dragons.
Physical Appearance[]
“ | Very-Vicious the Visithug was six feet tall with a beard so out of control that it looked like his chin was being attacked by a runaway bison. | ” |

Personality[]
Very-Vicious is a very violent man, willing to kill Stoick for hurting his feelings by not inviting him to inter-tribes games. He takes pleasure in hurting Peaceables, saying that they look funny when they run away. Despite this, he is also shown to be protective of those he cares about, particularly Hellsbells. He threatened to kill the entire Hooligan tribe if something bad happened to it while in Hiccup's care.
