Biography

Saved by Valka

On the day that Valka got taken to the mountain by Cloudjumper during the Dragon War, Valka's Mercy was among the many dragons attacking the Isle of Berk. A Viking man brought it down and attempted to kill it, but Valka blocked his axe, saving the Monstrous Nightmare's life. This would lead to it following her to her mountain at some point after this incident, becoming a member of her flock of rescued dragons. Due to this, it is assumed that it was among the dragons that fell under the control of Drago's Bewilderbeast after the death of Valka's Bewilderbeast, which were eventually freed by Toothless, and that it later acknowledged Toothless as its new alpha.

Moving to the Hidden World

Although not seen in the film, it is assumed that Valka's Mercy traveled alongside everyone from Berk and eventually arrived on New Berk. It is also assumed that it went to live in the Hidden World, along with every dragon from Berk.

Physical Appearance

Valka's Mercy is a bright pink Monstrous Nightmare with a pale tan underbelly and lighter shades of pink on its wings. It has dark stripes and mottled markings on its body and wings. It is also shown to have chin barbels in How to Train Your Dragon 2 indicating that it is 20 years of age or older.

Personality

Like most dragons before the end of the Dragon War, Valka's Mercy was viewed as an unthinking animal only wishing destruction and pain upon the residents of Berk.

However, after being saved by Valka, this dragon showed gratitude and kindness towards its savior. It also showed loyalty towards her, as it remained by her side since being saved, like Gruff, Lump, Winged Warden, Thump and other dragons that Valka had rescued.
