Plot[]
Tom has a nightmare that revealed what happened when he and Thunder were grabbed by the Fault Ripper. He managed to break him and Thunder free, and had the latter blast the Fault Ripper down into the fissure's depth, where it disappeared. Tom wakes up, troubled by the dream and what he did.
Later, the Dragon Club places sensors around the crystal realm to make sure no dragons will get near the fissure again. Tom is distracted by his nightmare, but Jun offers to lend her ear. They are interrupted when they hear the trio of bullying Gembreakers blasting at something. The riders discovered that they have trapped something under a pile of rocks. Thunder clears the rocks away, and the victim was revealed to be a tiny cute dragon with a unicorn-like horn. Jun is instantly enamored with the little dragon, and names it Nibbles. But the others are wary of the new dragon, especially when they discovered that it has the ability to create explosive bubbles from its horn. Jun wants to bring Nibbles home to feed him, but the others reject the idea, and Tom suggests checking on Nibbles the next day instead. However, Jun has other ideas and begins behaving suspiciously when they return to Rakketown.
When Jun returns home, she discovers her older brother, Eugene, has been dropped off by their father to stay at Rakketown while he is on a book signing tour. Eugene has already moved himself into Jun's room, and has their mother completely fooled with an innocent routine. Jun goes into her new room and is revealed to have sneaked Nibbles out of the crystal realm to observe him. However, Nibbles sneaks out to find food, namely Cheezie Loops, which he found in Jun's backpack, and causes a ruckus that wakes Eugune and nearly wakes up May. Jun is able to lure Nibbles outside with food, but he flies off in search of more Cheezie Loops, and his howl awakens the rest of the Dragon Club. When Tom, D'Angelo, and Alex find Jun, who was trying to look for Nibbles herself, she quickly confesses that she brought Nibbles home. Tom and his friends split up to find Nibbles, and are assisted by Thunder, who also figured out Jun's disobedience. Alex finds Nibbles by luring him with the scent of Cheezie Loops, which made D'Angelo assume that the snack must be a kind of Dragon Nip that dragons love. Nibble's escapes again, and blasts a hole into the grocery store to get more Cheezie Loops.
While searching, Tom, who is still mad at Jun for disobeying, asks her to explain herself. She tries to justify her actions, but also questions Tom if he had ever done something that he regrets. Tom, understanding what its like to regret something (based from his nightmares), forgives her. However, Eugene arrives, thinking Tom and Jun are up to some mischief, wants to join them. Jun manages to trick Eugene into entering the storage closet, and then locks him in to keep him out of their way, and not finding out about the existence of dragons. Nibbles suddenly lets out a loud screech, but the Dragon Club dismisses the behavior, and they eventually managed to trap nibbles in a trash can after. They then bring him to the fissure, but before they release him, a large pack of Bubblehorns arrive, drawn by Nibbles' screech, and begin to attack the riders to free Nibbles, proving to be much more dangerous than previously thought. Thunder brings the other dragons, and help their respective riders clear a path to the fissure, and Nibbles is eventually released by his pack unharmed. However, as payback for what the riders did to him, Nibbles leads his pack to combine their bubbles, and it forms into a giant one that threatens to destroy all of ICARIS. Jun finds a way to stop the bubble by having Wu freezing it so it won't pop easily, and then the other riders throw it into the fissure, where Thunder safely detonates it at the bottom. Afterwards, in the dragon's lair, Jun promises to not repeat her mistake, but Tom justifies her action of wanting to help the dragon as understandable since their mission is to help dragons. But before leaving the lair, Jun suddenly realizes that she forgot Eugene is still stuck in the store closet.
