Eugene: "If it was Wu or Wei or Thunder that was lost, do you think we would have come racing back home?"

Alex: "No way."

Eugene: "It's like, we don't even matter. Jun barely let me join the team."

The riders are exploring the Ice Realm once again, searching for both Buzzsaw and the key to unlock the mysterious capsule which Tom is determined to find. A blizzard approaches, and while the riders urge Tom to return home, he insists on staying to explore an ice cave he discovers. Eugene and Alex stay behind with their dragons to keep an eye on the imminent storm while Tom, D'Angelo and Jun search the cave for a key.

Back outside the cave, Webmaster attempts to socialize with Feathers, but the other dragon rejects his advances, camouflaging to get away from him. Eugene doesn't like this, but Alex defends her dragon, claiming that Feathers needs time to get used to Webmaster joining the group. The teens notice the blizzard nearing and run inside to warn the rest of the Dragon Club, leaving a Feathers and Webmaster behind. Back in the cave, the trio find a clump of fur in the cave, which Jun theorizes to be a yeti, much to Tom and D'Angelo's dismissal. Alex and Eugene interrupt, urgently warning the group about the storm, which prompts Tom to decide to leave after some encouragement. Once outside, however, Feathers and Webmaster are nowhere to be found. Alex and Eugene don't want to leave their dragons, but Tom decides that they can't risk it, reassuring them that Feathers and Webmaster can last a night in the Realm, having lived in the Hidden World their whole lives.

Left behind in the Ice Realm, Feathers and Webmaster struggle against the cold winds. Feathers continues to avoid Webmaster, who attempts to be friendly, although she eventually warms up to him when he starts a fire to keep them both warm. Something watches them, hidden, while they rest.

Back in ICARIS, Alex is restless and unable to sleep. Hearing a knock at her window, she gets up, believing it to be Tom, but is surprised by the appearance of Eugene, who awkwardly claims to be checking on her after what happened. He almost leaves, but she stops him and joins him outside. They share their dislike for what happened, and trade issues they have with the club, Alex saying that she was the last kid they told about the dragons, and only because Feathers found her, and Eugene saying that he would have been excluded from the secret had he not found the lair himself. They share their mutual love and concern for their dragons, and reach an understanding, coming to the decision of saving Feathers and Webmaster by themselves. Back in the Ice Realm, Feathers and Webmaster hear a strange noise coming from nearby and hide when it walks by.

Tom is having second thoughts about his decision and is surprised by Jun who is staring through his window, who tells him that Eugene is gone, and Alex hasn't been responding to her calls. They realize that the duo may have left for the Ice Realm on their own and go to get D'Angelo.

Alex and Eugene have to get past the sensors, but Alex manages to hack past them and find them a way through. However, they run into an ICARIS staff member immediately after, who questions why they are out past curfew. Eugene manages to sweet-talk his way out, convincing him that they are here on behalf of Director Wong to check on the patrols.

At the Ice Realm, when the unknown creature continues to stalk Feathers and Webmaster, the latter fires at it and tries to flush it out in the open but gets hit with an ice blast that chills him to the bone and lures Feathers closer to investigate.

UT-200-Tom

Eugene and Alex reach the sinkhole, and realize they need a rope to get down. Upon descending they realize the rope is too short and Eugene loses his grip with Alex unable to hold on for long. They exchange awkward 'last words,' but are saved by Wu and Wei before they fall. Jun and D'Angelo blame Eugene for convincing Alex to sneak out and putting her in danger, but Alex declares it was her idea and that it was also the others' fault for forcing them to leave their dragons behind. Tom apologizes for his decision to abandon Alex and Eugene's dragons, and admits that he made the wrong choice, but Alex says she understands that he wanted to make sure they all got home safely. They set off to search for the dragons together and find Webmaster's extinguished fire and ominously large footprints in the snow similar to ones in the ice cave.

UT-275-Helmet

Feathers and Webmaster are in the same ice cave seen before, with a large dragon known as a Yetiwing, which has frozen their feet to the snow and sees them as prey. The riders enter the cave, and Jun is immediately in awe at the Yetiwing, theorizing that Yeti legends came from it. Wei frees the dragons with his hot steam while Thunder and Tom distract the Yetiwing. The aggressive dragon fires and hits Thunder, who crashes. The club battles the dragon until the Yetiwing tries to collapse the cavern on top of them to trap them, but the riders manage to escape. Afterward, Feathers, Webmasters, and their riders have grown fonder.

In Tom's dome, he accidentally drops his helmet. One of the horns falls off, and he is aghast before realizing that there is a carved extension at the base of it shaped like the Strike Symbol that fits the keyhole in the capsule. He fits them together and unlocks the capsule to find the Book of Dragons inside.

Trivia[]

  • The introduction of a Book of Dragons containing drawings of the legacy Dragon Riders in this episode is an inconsistency since no humans were suppose to have ever entered the Hidden World after the events of the third film.
  • A T. rex skull from Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous can be seen in the hideout of the ice dragon, which is considered to be an easter egg.
  • Tom states that the person left the Puzzle Box in the Fire Realm, however they found it in a chamber in the Crystal Realm.
  • This is the only time where the Yetiwing makes an appearance, apart from the end credits of season 5.
    • However they do not even mention its name in this or any other episode.
