The toothache plant (Acmella oleracea) has dark green spade-shaped leaves with serrated edges. The flowers are a peculiar button shape, typically yellow with a dark red "eye" in the center. Toothache plants are native to South America, but after European colonization, has become widespread in other countries with warmer climates.
In real-life as well as the Franchise, the toothache plant is known for its medicinal usage. Primarily it is used for toothaches and other oral ailments because it can give a numbing sensation from the presence of Spilanthol. In humans, chewing one flower or a leaf is enough to numb the mouth. In the game, School of Dragons, toothache plant can also be used on dragons, but they may require the whole plant for a sufficient effect.

Evidently, the dragons - Hookfang in particular - get a lot of dental problems, as the use of toothache plant is seen many times in player Quests and Farm Jobs.
The toothache plant is a crop the player can grow on their Farms, then harvest to complete Farm Jobs for rewards. A bag of toothache plant seeds cost 156 coins and give 3 plants after a 90 minute growing time.
A toothache plant also appears on a vendor table on Auction Island.
