The Throne is one of he objects from the books. It is one of the King's Lost Things that was later owned by Hiccup.

How to Break a Dragon's Heart[]
In the Ulithug Islands, the Hooligans saw it and later UG the Uglithug sat on it.
Later when Humongously Hotshot the Hero and Tantrum O'Ugerly got married, they stole the throne from Ug and gave it to Hiccup in order to congratulate him.
How to Betray a Dragon's Hero[]
After Alvin the Treacherous was said to be the king, Hiccup's things that belonged to a king got stolen by him, which also included the throne.
How to Fight a Dragon's Fury[]
When Hiccup arrived to the Island of Tomorrow, he was revealed to be the real king instead of Alvin. When Hiccup will be crowned, he said that he will sit on a rock instead of the throne.
Function[]
The main purpose of the throne is for a king to sit on for many people to see, in order to recognize him.
Description[]
The Throne was quite high in height. On the backrest, there was an image of two intertwining dragons who had no legs or wings, while the siderests were shaped like a dragon's mouth. An human skull and crossbones can be seen painted on the seat. It is said to be carved from a single piece of white marble, but due to the ages of being lost out at sea, it became covered with a film of green algae and thickly plastered with barnacles along with long trails of seaweed drifting from both of the shell encrusted arms. There is a very old bloodstain on the back of this throne that was washed in the ocean for centuries, along with a faint brown flower that hints at an ancient betrayal.
It is believed that the Throne of the Wilderwest is cursed by Chinhilda for abandoning his own flesh and blood on a mountainside to die, based on the superstitious horrible feeling that Hiccup felt when he gazed upon it as if it were an evil creature and was "trying to suck him in."
The Vikings believe that the Throne is cursed after Grimbeard killed his thirdborn son, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock II, and anyone who sits on it will be cursed.
