The Great Homecoming was an event during which all the dragons of the world migrated to the Hidden World.
History[]
After an intense battle with Grimmel the Grisly, Hiccup decided that all the Vikings and dragons of Berk should move to the legendary Hidden World, where they would be safe from dragon hunters. However, upon entering the Hidden World itself, Hiccup realised that humans were unwelcomed there. As such, he asked Toothless to lead all of Berk's dragons to the Hidden World, while the Viking remained behind on the newfound New Berk. Slowly, all the other dragons of the world also migrated to the Hidden World, leaving no trace of their existence behind. Because of this, humans stopped believing dragons ever existed, turning them into myths and legends.
Trivia[]
Since the films have been confirmed multiple times to have taken place in the 11th century, and yet Dragons: The Nine Realms is also confirmed to take place in the 21st, the "thirteen centuries" is incorrect, unfortunately causing a major inconsistency.
