T.J. Miller is the voice actor of Tuffnut Thorston in How to Train Your Dragon, How to Train Your Dragon 2, DreamWorks Dragons: The Series, and Dragons: Race to the Edge.[1]
Biography[]
Todd Joseph Miller (born June 4, 1981) in Denver Colorado, is an American actor, stand-up comedian, social critic, producer, and writer. In 2003, Miller graduated from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. with a B.A. in psychology with a concentration in situation theory and social influence.
T.J. Miller is a comedian who voices Tuffnut. He brings a depth to Tuffnut which would not have otherwise existed and brings new layers of comedy to a wonderful DreamWorks production. Although the character's ears and hair are no indication of the man himself, T.J.'s voice stands out distinctly with his improvisation skills and meta-style comedy.
In 2018, T.J. Miller was removed from the cast due to controversy. He was replaced by Justin Rupple, who took his role and voiced Tuffnut in How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World and How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming.

- In 2018, T.J. was arrested for reporting in a fake bomb threat. He was also suspected of having behaved inappropriately with a girl from his college, amongst other sketchy records.
- He was released on a $100,000 bond.
- On January 2, 2019, it was confirmed that T.J. was replaced by Justin Rupple as the voice of Tuffnut Thorston.[2]
- According to imdb.com, he is an accomplished clown and juggler, having mastered 5 ball juggling, over fifty 3-ball tricks, clubs, torches, knives, and his specialty (which garnered him a Magician Membership to The Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA) Cigar Boxes.
