Stoick's Great Grandfather is an unnamed character mentioned briefly in the DreamWorks Dragons Franchise.
Biography
Exploring the Seas, then Living on Icestorm Island
Stoick's Great Grandfather was said to have been a famous explorer who was constantly travelling the seas. He left Berk one day and never returned, as he crashed his ship at the shore of Icestorm Island. There, he started exploring the new land, eventually befriending the Groncicles, as well as discovering the remains of an ancient civilization that had lived there. He apparently made no attempts to return to his tribe. Due to the island's high number of Speed Stingers, it is possible he met his fate at these dragons' venomous tails.
His Belongings Found by His Descendants
A couple of years after the First Berserker War, Hiccup and his Riders came across Icestorm Island, and after a short while, discovered an old viking hut, and a tribal crest. At first, the relics found inside were to be sold to Johann, who after recognizing the symbol as of Viking origin, returned it to the Berkians. Gobber identified the crest as having belonged to the Haddocks, then Stoick recognized the armor as having been his great-grandfather's.
Personality
Though very little is mentioned about Stoick's Great Grandfather, he is inferred to have been an adventurous and curious Viking, much like his descendant Hiccup, or Skulder the Archaeologist.
