Physical Appearance[]
Egg[]
Appearance-wise, Snifflehide eggs look very similar to the eggs of a Wave Glider, having pale green patches with dark green lines and muddy brown colored bottom. They have a strong, disgusting smell.
Hatchling to Adult[]
The Snifflehide is a medium-sized dragon with teal-green coloration and pale violet striping. It has an overbite, large nostrils, and two curved spikes on top, two very small twisted horns atop its head, and small wing-like ears. Its gullet is pale purple with spikes. It also possesses curved, knob-like spikes running down its back. Its tail ends with a fairly large violet flower-like tail fan.
Abilities[]
Acute Senses[]
The Snifflehides display a heightened sense of smell, allowing them to detect scents over long distances. This remarkable olfactory ability was evident during the Dragon Club's tracking of the Snifflehide, requiring them to maintain a safe distance. Furthermore, the Snifflehides possess acute hearing, as exemplified by the mother Snifflehide promptly perceiving and understanding the situation when Eugene fumigated Buzzsaw with his body spray. It is possible that their visual acuity is limited, potentially resulting in cloudy or impaired vision, and they may have minimal ability to see at all.
Strength and Combat[]
Snifflehides possess a considerable level of strength, as they are capable of effortlessly carrying the weight of a person. And by using its whole body it was a challenge for the Jormungandr to get rid of its face while the Mother Snifllehide was doing its best to keep it distracted while the other dragons were blasting him.
Speed and Agility[]
The Snifflehide species demonstrates remarkable agility in the air, as observed when the mother Snifflehide was able to maintain pursuit of Webmaster without losing track of him, even during high-speed flight.
Camouflage[]
Thanks to the color of their scales and the environment they live in, Snifflehides can hide very well and can avoid detection.
Intelligence[]
Snifflehides appear to be intelligent dragons, as they use their noses to tell the difference between friends, family and enemies.
Behavior and Personality[]
Snifflehides exhibit behavior reminiscent of certain avian species, such as peregrine falcons, eagles, and barnacle geese. These dragons construct their nests on rocky cliffs to safeguard against potential predators. Interestingly, the mother dragon possesses a keen olfactory sense, often mistaking individuals, like Eugene, who may carry a similar aroma to her eggs or one of her own hatchlings straying from the nest. It is also possible that Snifflehides have the ability to adopt offspring that are not biologically theirs. These dragons display a highly nurturing and benevolent nature towards their young. The mother dragon envelops her hatchlings in leafy coverings, similar to how she attended to Eugene by licking his body, to ensure their warmth and security. She then departs to procure regurgitated sustenance for their nourishment. Subsequently, the mother dragon imparts the skill of flight to her offspring by encouraging them to take flight from the cliffs where their nests rest. Despite their amiable and non-aggressive disposition, akin to the majority of dragon mothers, Snifflehides exhibit a protective instinct towards their offspring.
Furthermore, Snifflehides are shown to demonstrate a remarkable level of understanding, as exemplified by their reaction when encountering individuals or objects that emit scents resembling their eggs or hatchlings. In the instance of Eugene having been cleansed of body spray and subsequently being sniffed again by the mother dragon, she did not exhibit anger or aggression, instead allowing him to proceed. This suggests that Snifflehides frequently encounter confusion when encountering scents resembling their eggs or hatchlings.
Snifflehides are classified as herbivorous dragons, subsisting exclusively on a plant-based diet.
Weaknesses[]
Near Blindness[]
The dragon doesn't have good vision or is possibly blind, so it relies on its senses of smelling and hearing to find its way around.
Scent Confusion[]
Even though a Snifflehide's nose is strong, it can serve as the dragon's main weakness, as it may mistake another being, such as a human, as their own offspring if said person is covered in a scent similar to their eggs or hatchlings.

Season 5[]
In the episode "Scent of a Dragon", a female Snifflehide was being pursued by the Dragon Club until she was caught by Buzzsaw and his workers Ford and Winston, as he planned to begin a dragon black market. They were attacked by the Dragon Riders until Buzzsaw held them at a standpoint, where he threatened Eugene's life while gagging from the strong-smelling body spray. However, the Snifflehide broke loose and fought back. She soon grabbed Eugene and took him back to her nest full of eggs. There, she wrapped him in leaves and flew off to get food. When she returned, she barfed out the chewed-up leaves right next to him and tried to feed them to him. D'Angelo realized that because of Eugene reeking of "Arctic Chill Max" body spray, and the fact that the Snifflehide has bad eyesight, the mother dragon believed Eugene was one of her babies. When she finished "feeding" him, she tried to teach him how to fly. Eugene let go of the ledge and fell right onto Webmaster's back to make her think he was flying. However, she picked up the Deadly Spinner's scent and pursued to drive him off. After Jun had Wu and Wei clean off Eugene's scent, the Snifflehide returned and sniffed him again, realizing he was not one of her offspring, and let him go. When Buzzsaw tried to take off with her eggs, Eugene covered him in his body spray and called the mother dragon, claiming he "found another hatchling". She flew back to the nest, sniffed the lumberjack, and licked him, believing he was her baby. She then grabbed Buzzsaw, flew off with him, and dropped him onto a tree as she chased him through the rainforest.
Season 8[]
In "Ragnarok: Part 2", the Mother Snifflehide was recruited by Eugene to fight off Jörmungandr and stop it from reaching the surface world. She even saved Eugene from being eaten when he was knocked off Webmaster. She later returned to her nest in the Nature Realm and respected Thunder as the new King of the Nine Realms.
