Shrimp are only seen once in the game, School of Dragons.

Description

Shrimp are Crustaceans related to lobsters and crabs. As crustaceans, shrimp are invertebrates and have a hard exoskeleton. As with other invertebrates, shrimp have several life stages very different from each other before the well-known adult stage is reached. Between species of shrimp, there is a wide range of sizes, colors, and anatomical features. Some shrimp species, such as the Pistol Shrimp or Boxer Shrimp have noticeably enlarged fore legs, or claws, similar to a lobster. Shrimp are mostly a marine group, but some species can be found in fresh water. Shrimp can be found in tropical regions to arctic regions. It is possible historic Vikings came across shrimp such as the Northern Prawn. However, because shrimp are generally found on the sea floor in deeper water, historic Vikings may not have had much access to them.

Function

In the How to Train Your Dragon Franchise, shrimp are seen only for educational purposes.

In reality however, shrimp are a major food source worldwide. Some species of freshwater shrimp are also kept in aquariums.
