The Shocktail is a dragon that first appeared in Dragons: Rescue Riders.
Physical Appearance[]
Hatchling to Adult[]
The Shocktail has a round head with big eyes and a wide mouth. A short, thin neck and a compact stocky body. The legs are long ending in webbed clawless feet. The wings are small and vestigial, the Shocktail is flightless. The tail is quite thin, with a few bumps along the top. the tail ends in a horseshoe shape, which produces electricity between the tips, hence the species' name. The tail can bend up and forward allowing the dragon to throw charges forward. They come in a variety of two colors combos with stripes around the legs and across the back.
Abilities[]
Electrokinesis[]
Shocktails produce electrical charges with the tip of their forked tail. These electrical charges can stun humans and dragons for a while. They also can be used in a offensive way to destroy wood and rock.
Endurance and Stamina[]
As seen with Splish, Shocktails can help pull up a large Viking longship and easily two of them can sink the same ship twice. They also have a high stamina that can keep up with other amphibious species like Fastfin.
Strength and Combat[]
In water their speed is unmatched by land dragons and can take easy care of them and their electrical charges can hit easily their enemies in the water.
Weaknesses[]
Constant need to stay wet[]
This dragon is aquatic. It cannot breathe while being out of water and is required to be constantly hydrated.
Small fins[]
Because their build is adapted for swimming Shocktails can't fly which makes them easy targets
Behavior and Personality[]
Shocktails are a sociable species that live in schools. Most of them prefer to avoid fighting, but if they are enough motivated they can stand up against other dragons. They are in general friendly and curious.

Splish Is a turquoise shocktail dragon who was first seen in the episode "Dragon Out Of Water" who was bullied by Volt and Surge. After he helped Volt and Surge sink Elbone's House Boat he saw the Rescue Riders get Elbone's house boat out of the water he wanted to be part of them. He came put the water to find then and nearly suffocating from being out of water and told the Rescue Riders about him being bullied. Later the Rescue Riders built him a suit to be a land dragon like he wanted to be. He was confronted by Volt and Surge later and stood up to them with the help of Summer and was finally the hero of his school even though he was the smallest.
Trivia[]
- The shock of a Shocktail is shown to be able to give someone the ability to speak Dragon, as was shown when Splish shocked Elbone in the end of "Dragon Out of Water" and was able to understand Burple. Unfortunately, Splish shocked Elbone again afterwards, and he could no longer understand Burple.
