Synopsis[]

SFTSC - I wonder if Burple even

The Rescue Riders are helping Elbone by trying to find Rocky in the ocean. Aggro and Cutter come out of the water almost simultaneously, with Aggro claiming she held her breath longer than Cutter, who protests that statement. It turns out neither of them were able to find Rocky. Leyla consoles Elbone saying they will eventually find Rocky. Elbone then notes that it wasn't a good day to teach Rocky how to swim. Leyla questions Elbone’s decision realizing what happened. Elbone responds that he would not have thrown Rocky without a good reason. At that moment Winger comes out of the water having been unable to find Rocky, but he notes that Summer and Burple are still searching. Dak hearing that statement wonders how Burple is still in the water with Summer, and Leyla responds that Rockspitters can hold extra air in their stomachs which is a little-known fact.

SFTSC - It really matches

Down on the ocean floor Summer and Burple are still searching and each of them finds something at the same time after which they head back to Elbone's boat. Summer tells the others she found Rocky, and Burple is confused thinking he found Rocky. Summer then gives Rocky to Elbone, and he notes that Rocky is clean and he decides to give Shelly and Crystal baths. Burple then wonders what he actually found, and he brings it out on his tongue to look at. After Leyla gets to see the object, she takes it from Burple and examines it and realizes that she has seen the markings on it before and states that it could be from Valantis. The other Rescue Riders stare at her in confusion as none of them has heard of Valantis. The Rescue Riders head back to The Roost and Leyla rushes inside and searches through her books until she finds the right book. She opens the book and flips through several pages before finding a page with markings that match the markings on the stone tablet, and on seeing that Leyla exclaims that fact happily.

SFTSC - As the stories go

Leyla then explains the legend of Valantis, saying it was a very old city, and that according to the stories, the Vikings who lived there were friends with dragons and put together all they learned about them in a huge library that is said to be filled with untold dragon secrets. Dak wonders why he has never heard of Valantis, and Leyla explains that long ago Valantis sank into the sea, and no one knows exactly where it was located. Dak realizes that with what Burple found that Valantis could be near Huttsgalor, and immediately runs off to find Valantis. No one follows him and Summer explains that Leyla said the city sank into the sea. Winger agrees with Summer and adds that none of them would be able to hold their breaths that long. After Cutter tells Burple that he can store air in his stomachs, which excites Burple, Leyla comes up with an idea that they could find a way to store extra air themselves. Burple is confused, and Leyla explains that Hannahr can help them achieve their goal.

SFTSC - These things are awesome

At the Blacksmith Shop, Hannahr tells the Rescue Riders that making something that can store air is an incredibly difficult blacksmithing challenge but ends up accepting it. Hannahr then makes diving helmets for all the Rescue Riders except Summer with a little bit of help from Cutter. Leyla having gotten gloopberries puts them into lantern as they glow and thus can be used underwater to provide light. Everyone puts on their new Diving Helmets, and Hannahr explains to them how the air gauge works, warning that red means they need to get out of the water right away. Leyla thanks Hannahr as the Rescue Riders head of to search for Valantis. The Rescue Riders then go into the ocean going all the way to the ocean floor and find out the diving helmets work. As they swim along Burple notes how peaceful it is. Summer says that it is not always peaceful down there, which makes Burple worry about that.

SFTSC - We really found Valantis

As they swim deeper down, the Rescue Riders run into deep seas eels, which according to Summer are bigger and meaner than normal eels. They defend themselves from the eels, and Summer uses her water blast to keep an eel from reaching Cutter. Summer again tries to use a water blast to blast an eel away but ends doing a sonar blast instead, but no one releases what it is. The Rescue Riders are able to get away from the eels by going into and through a cave to the other side. After thinking they have lost themselves, Leyla says they cannot give up searching before they find Valantis, which at that moment Cutter spots with his super-sight. They swim down into the city and Leyla looks at the markings on one of the poles and through looking at them determines that they have truly found Valantis. Leyla then tells the others not to touch anything as this city should be kept the way it is as Valantis is a piece of history, which causes Aggro, Burple and Cutter to put down what they had picked up.

SFTSC - Oh, sure

Dak, who is over by a building, calls Leyla over asking her if she thinks the dragon library could be in the building and she says it could, and then swims into the building. After swimming through some of the hallways they realize they all look alike and Winger notes that is even more confusing than the Maze Caves. Dak then looks at the air gauge and notes that they have already used up half of their air. Cutter then says he will mark the walls but everyone else stops him before he does so to prevent him from breaking his helmet. Leyla then comes up with the idea to use stone pots to mark their way. After putting the plan into action, Dak says it is a great idea and Cutter complains about that when they touch stuff they get in trouble, but when Leyla does it, it is a great idea, but ends up saying that it is a great idea. After going a little bit further, the Rescue Riders reach the door to the library and Leyla decides to look inside through the window.

SFTSC - I don't think

Leyla discovers an Octopus is in the library and tells the others they really do not want to know what the problem is. Aggro on looking and seeing the Octopus herself says Leyla was right that she did not want to know. Leyla then comes up with the idea to convince the Octopus they are friendly in hopes that it will let them in. Burple sings and does a friendship dance, but the Octopus sprays him with ink. Leyla on seeing what happened tells Burple that she was thinking that they should offer fish to the Octopus. After they catch some fish, Leyla and Summer slowly swim up to the library door and Leyla asks the Octopus if he is hungry. The octopus slightly opens the door and takes the fish from Leyla. The others than bring fish for the Octopus who grabs all the fish. The Octopus then sees the jars of fish and rushes out of the library to get to those fish.

SFTSC - And if it is

At that moment Leyla and Summer go into the Library of Secrets with the others following. Leyla is amazed by the library as they swim through it. Dak then sees tablets and mentions that he thought libraries were supposed to have books. Leyla replies that that is now, but when Valantis was around, Vikings wrote on stone tablets. Winger on seeing all the tablets wonders if all the tablets are really filled with secrets about dragons and Leyla confirms it. Leyla then grabs a tablet and reads it commenting that her Viking picture language is a little rusty. Leyla is able to determine that the tablet is about Slinkwings and how their goo tastes good in fish wraps. This confuses Aggro and she says that if that secret is true, it should stay secret. Burple then wonders if there are any secrets about Rockspitters in the library. Dak says there actually might be as he is holding a tablet that has a picture of a Rockspitter. Leyla walks up to Dak and questioningly says that is a back burp underwater that the Rockspitter is doing in the picture.

SFTSC - Summer trying out her sonar power

Burple then tries it out, and it is discovered that if a Rockspitter back burps while they swim, they can go really fast underwater. Burple is happy to no longer be the slowest dragon anymore, at least underwater, and in his happiness does multiple underwater back burps. Leyla then goes and picks up another tablet and sees that it has a Fastfin on it. Summer asks what the tablet says, and Leyla replies that is seems to be something about Fastfins' blasts. After Summer says the blast does not look like a normal water blast, Leyla figures out that the blast on the tablet has something to do with sonar. Leyla then explains what sonar is and that it is a way some animals can see without using their eyes. Summer says she has never done anything like that before, and Leyla mentions that she did it earlier by accident. After being asked to do the sonar blast again, Summer gives it a try, and it does not work, and the failed attempt ends up causing a bunch of bookcases to fall over.

SFTSC - Avoiding the octopus

At that moment, the Octopus rushes back into the library with the giant eels behind him and closes and blocks the door to keep the eels out of the library. The Octopus then goes to a wall and notices the Rescue Riders in the library and becomes angry and starts swinging its tentacles at them. Aggro is caught by one of the tentacles but is freed by Winger. Dak then notices that their air supply is running low. Burple is then grabbed by the Octopus but is freed by Cutter, however his helmet comes off, and Leyla tells Burple to use the air stored in his stomachs, which he does. Leyla then mentions that they will never be able to make it back through the hallways with the eels out there. Dak then suggests that they should bring the eels in here, saying that when the Octopus sees the eels, it will blast out its ink, which hopefully means the eels will not be able to see them.

SFTSC - Having gone left

Cutter mentions that they will not be able to see anything, but Leyla says that Summer will be able to see with her new sonar power. At that Cutter and Aggro get ready to move the bookcase and at the count of three pick it up and unblock the door, which allows the eels to come into the library. At seeing the eels, the Octopus blasts out its ink, which makes it harder to see. The Rescue Riders then leave the library with Summer in the lead. Summer initially is unable to get her sonar power to work, but after Leyla encourages her to close her eyes and believe in herself, Summer closes her eyes and is successful in using her sonar power. Using her sonar power, Summer guides everyone through the hallways and gets them closer to the exit. Before they reach the exit, Dak notes that they are almost out of air.

SFTSC - Burple having spit out tablets he swallowed

Burple then tells everyone to go ahead while he prepares to uses his back burp with the eels approaching. Everyone else heads for the exit and the at the exact right moment Burple does his back burp which knocks the eels back and sends him through the exit and helps him catch up with the others. The Rescue Riders then exit the water and land on a sea stack. After landing on the sea stack everyone takes off their helmet. Leyla then wishes that they had more time down there because there were so many other tablets in the library. Burple then tells Leyla that while she said to not touch anything she never said to not swallow anything, and he spits out some tablets that he got from the library. Leyla thanks Burple and hugs him.
