The Sea Urchin, also called Sea Hedgehog, is an aquatic animal that makes small appearances in DreamWorks Dragons Franchise.

Description[]

Sea Urchins are animals of the Class Echinoidea, Phylum Echinodermata. They are the cousins of the Starfish and Sea Cucumbers. Despite their rather sedentary appearance, sea urchins are not fixed to a substrate, but can move around their habitat, albeit slowly.

The urchin is covered in a spiky shell, similar to the hedgehog spines. They have many colors, including black, purple, brown, red or blue.

There's a unique ecosystem that lives in tide pools. The waves go in and out and supply the tide pool animals with food. Starfish, anemones, Seaweed, and Sea Urchins live in tide pools.
