Plot[]

While rushing through breakfast to get to dragon club, Jun is criticized by her mother about spending so much time on a 'fantasy game.' Jun's frustrations only grow when May complains about her acting like a little kid, yet she is babying Eugene by cutting off the crusts to his sandwich. When she heads off to work, Eugene sprays himself with his favorite cologne, which to the others smells awful.

Meanwhile, the rest of dragon club explores the Nature Realm to search for a new dragon called a Snifflehide. They almost catch a glimpse of the Snifflehide, but Eugene and Jun arrive arguing and their noise scares of the dragon before it can be seen. After arguing with Eugene, Jun changes the subject and asks Tom why they can't tell their parents the dragon secret now that Olivia knows. Tom protests that while Olivia promises to keep the secret, if other knew all dragons would be in danger. Suddenly, the group hears the Snifflehide in distress and go to check it out.

Back at ICARIS, Olivia struggles to keep the dragon secret to herself. She almost tells Carla but changes her mind when she sees her gossiping with Hazel about Linda and one of the ICARIS staff, Murray, dating. The dragon club discovers Buzzsaw trying to capture the Snifflehide with his workers. They tie a leash around the dragon's neck and Buzzsaw reveals his plan to sell the dragons as food, pets, and skins. When the dragon club intervenes to free the Snifflehide Jun and Eugene's arguing distracts them long enough for Buzzsaw to take Eugene hostage. Buzzsaw threatens to hurt Eugene, while disgusted by his body spray, unless he is allowed to take the Snifflehide, but the Snifflehide attacks Buzzsaw and chases him and his workers off when it smells Eugene. Suddenly, the Snifflehide grabs Eugene and carries him away. The other go after them, but the Snifflehide's camouflage causes them to lose sight of it, forcing them to follow it by having Plowhorn track Eugene's scent.

Olivia tries to call Tom to discuss her difficulty keeping the secret, but accidentally trips one of Philip's alarms. When Philip arrives to disarm the alarm, he explains he put them there to keep wild animals out to keep everyone safe, make it even harder for Olivia to keep the secret out of guilt.

Eugene is dropped into the Snifflehide's nest, and the dragon begins licking him and covering him in leaves, causing him to believe the dragon is going to eat him. The others watch what's happening and Tom learns from the Book of Dragon's that Snifflehide's aren't carnivores or normally aggressive, so Eugene is safe, and that it has a strong sense of smell. When the Snifflehide leaves, the others try to rescue Eugene, but his panicked shouting alerts the Snifflehide and it comes back. The others hide behind the Snifflehide's egg filled nest, revealing the dragon is a mother, and discover the Snifflehide's eggs smell the same as Eugene's cologne. When the Snifflehide returns, she barfs up chewed up leaves and tries to feed them to Eugene, causing everyone to realize that the Snifflehide has mistaken Eugene for its baby because of its bad eyesight and sense of smell has mistaken Eugene's cologne with the scent of its eggs. After having a good laugh, the group ponders how to rescue Eugene, but things get dangerous quick when the Snifflehide begins trying to push Eugene off its nest to teach him how to fly. Eugene is nearly pushed off the ledge and the others distract the Snifflehide while Webmaster rescues Eugene. The Snifflehide believes Webmaster is trying hurt Eugene and attacks Webmaster, forcing the others to intervene while Wu and Wei use their steam to wash Eugene's cologne off. Without the cologne, the Snifflehide no longer recognizes Eugene as one of its young and leaves. However, the moment of relief Buzzsaw arrives on his Timberjack.

Buzzsaw has his men attempt to take the Snifflehide's eggs and hold them hostage to keep the dragon club from stopping them. Eugene splashes Buzzsaw with his cologne and calls back the Snifflehide. She mistakes him for one of her young just like she did with Eugene and takes Buzzsaw into the air and tries to teach him to fly too, chasing him off. Buzzsaw's men give up and return the eggs to nest before fleeing. Later, Jun apologizes to Eugene for being so hard on him, admitting she is jealous their mother likes him better than her. Eugene explains that their mom treats them differently because of what she thinks they can handle and actually thinks Jun is more capable, which causes him to have his own jealousies. He tells Jun that she shares her intense dedication with her mom, even if they chose to channel it into different things. With both of them having learned some new perspectives, Eugene decides to become more self-sufficient, and Jun appreciates her mother a bit more. While in the lab, Olivia is confronted by Sledkin, who reveals she knows Olivia is keeping a secret, but believes the secret is just the gossip of Linda dating Murray. though Olivia keeps the dragon secret, she grows more stressed about keeping it hidden.
