How to Train Your Dragon Wiki

Scablout first appeared in the Game, How to Train Your Dragon for the Nintendo DS, 360, and Wii.

Biography[]

Thors'day Thursday[]

About a year after the defeat of the Red Death, Stoick announces Thors'day Thursday to be the anniversary of the taming of dragons. There will be a tournament held to see who is the best dragon trainer and be decreed the "Dragon Master". As Astrid or Hiccup (depending which character the player picks) try to complete training for the Tournament, Scablout, along with Snortlout and Snotlout tease and bully them outside the tournament ring.

Sorry Astrid. Tournaments are much too rough for girls.
  — Scablout to Astrid

Later in the game, the final step of preparation for the Tournament is for the contenders to collect a single bell at the highest summit of Dragon Tooth Mountain. The teenager competitors have ganged together according to clan (or House) which has resulted in a lot of fighting amongst the contestants. Because Astrid or Hiccup have been successful thus far, Scablout teams up temporarily with Bearlegs of House Ingerman to defeat the common "enemy". Astrid or Hiccup fight a red Night Fury, but it is unclear whom the trainer is - Scablout or Bearlegs (characters can train multiple dragons in this game and Night Furies are common).

Mentioned by Snotlout Jorgenson[]

In the game, School of Dragons, Scablout is mentioned in the Quest, "Meet the Hairy Hooligan Clans". The player is asked to visit each of the Dragon Riders and find out a little bit about their clans, or familial House.

My father Spitelout is a Jorgenson and our clan also has Scablout, Wartlout, and Burplout. He's the record holder for the longest burp! Cool, huh?
  — Snotlout in School of Dragons

Personality[]

Like most Jorgensons portrayed in the How to Train Your Dragon Game, Scablout is belligerent and mouthy. He likes to gang up on people with his family to demean others. He also seems rather misogynistic, despite the Franchise casting males and females in relatively equal social footing.

Trivia[]

  • Please note, there may be variation in roles of minor characters in the game, depending which main character (Hiccup or Astrid) the player chooses to play as.
