The Rudeboy Tribe are a Viking Tribe that lived somewhere within the Barbaric Archipelago, but were collectively considered by the majority of Viking society to be a lost cause. As a result, the Rudeboys were among the three tribes known to be denied a voice in meetings of the Thing, the others being the Outcast Tribe and Lava-Louts.
Biography[]
Represented Absent[]
Due to apparent bad relations with a large number of the tribes that divided the other Norse people of the Barbaric Archipelago, the Rudeboy Tribe either abstained from participating in meetings of the Thing or was refused entrance to such assemblies of the local chieftains of the tribes for unspecified reasons. In the latter's case, this might have been the result of elements of their culture being considered by the Viking Tribes to be practices that were largely considered too horrific to remain unacknowledged, as was the case with the Outcast and Lava-Lout tribespeople, who were both similarly absent from proceedings of the Thing. Given how the names of the tribes often reflect their owners in some way or another, members of the Rudeboys might have been prone to verbal slander, which could easily spark blood feuds between them and other tribes, which is another potential reason for why they remained unrepresented by whoever was their chieftain. Whatever the case, as a result of their exclusion, the Rudeboy Tribe, their absence noted as the result of them being a "lost cause" in Hiccup's opinion, was not present at the Isle of Berk when the Thing rolled around and the majority of the tribes (with two exceptions) briefly evacuated the Archipelago in fear of the Exterminator threat.
