Ravenhunters are dragons mentioned in How to Betray a Dragon's Hero.
They sided with humans in the second Dragon Rebellion.
Physical Appearance[]
Ravenhunters are small dragons with four legs and a pair of wings with a spaded tail. They do not have any horns or spines on their bodies. They are depicted as being solid black with greenish or turquoise wing membranes.
Abilities[]
Ravenhunters have excellent eyesight. They are also fast dragons, rating an "8". They also must have a great sense of direction for being used as messenger dragons.
Weaknesses[]
Ravenhunters have a strong fondness for scallops, and can switch sides in a conflict from their greed for them. This fondness might also be conceivably be used against them.
Training[]
Excellinor the Witch uses Ravenhunter dragons as spies in book 11. They are also used by Vikings as messengers and hunting dragons.
