Outcast Ships are seen in both the TV series as background objects, and Franchise games.
The Outcast ships are a form of Viking longship. They all are adorned with a dragon skull figurehead from an unknown dragon. They appear to be single-deck and single mast ships as is characteristic of a longship. The square sail is white with a stylized image of an outcast with a helmet on it. Most ships are lined with spiky shields.
In the game, School of Dragons, the Outcast ship is equipped with crossbows directly mounted to the ship, and cannonball catapults.
Outcast ships are first introduced to the Franchise with the introduction of the Outcast Tribe in the episode, "Alvin and the Outcasts". Their ships are generally seen in most episodes that deal with the Outcasts.
Outcast ships make appearances throughout this TV series.
Outcast Ships are seen briefly in "Guardians of Vanaheim". Alvin learns off Stoick's illness and sails to Berk to help out while Stoick is incapacitated.
The Battle Event is a multi-player activity that occurs every two hours in game. Players ride their dragons and shoot down either an Outcast Scout Ship or a Berserker Scout Ship during a timed event. The ships will fire cannonballs and arrows to damage players. Touching the ships will send players to designated recovery areas. Prizes are awarded if the players are successful sinking the invading ship.
The player can battle attacking ships after they have a minimum of 2 dragons at level 12. The first sequence of battles are of Alvin the Treacherous attacking Berk. Later, it is Drago Bludvist who attacks Berk.
