Odin's Respite is an island home to the last known Buffalord. It was named after the god Odin.
Official Description[]
“ | Hunted to the point of near extinction ages ago, the dragon species known as the Buffalords ultimately found a haven — and plenty of grass for grazing — on this remote, verdant island. As calm and laid back as the lumbering dragons that live there, Odin’s Respite was so named by Hiccup as a nod to the fact that Buffalord drool mixed with the herbs that grow there contains the only known antidote for the deadly plague known as The Scourge of Odin. | ” |

Dragons: Race to the Edge, Season 3[]
In "Buffalord Soldier", Hiccup, Fishlegs, Snotlout, Ruffnut, and Tuffnut journey to Odin's Respite after Astrid is infected with the Scourge of Odin. The only cure for the Scourge of Odin is the saliva of a Buffalord, which is said to be extinct. Unwilling to give up, the dragon riders deduced that the Buffalord lived on Odin's Respite. When they arrive, they find the Buffalord and attempt to bring it back to Dragon's Edge, but the Buffalord resists. They then bring Astrid to the island, but Viggo and the Dragon Hunters show up demanding the Buffalord. Hiccup willingly gives up the Buffalord to the Dragon Hunters in exchange for concocting a cure by mixing the Buffalord's saliva with the grass it eats. The Buffalord reacts bitterly to his capture and escapes. Hiccup and the rest of the riders then leave the island.
