The Monstrous Nightmare is a showy, bullish dragon with a massive wingspan and the longest body of any dragon in the Vikings’ world. Moving on two legs and using its wings as forearms, it is both powerful and agile. Its defining trait is its ability to set itself on fire, coating its entire body in flames. It breathes a sticky, napalm-like fire that clings to surfaces before burning away. Its bold coloration and formidable presence make it one of the most visually striking dragons.[src]

It possesses a crocodilian skull, having a large mouth with pin like teeth, a forked tongue, and a short nasal horn on the end of the snout. Weaknesses[]
Behaviour and Personality[]
These dragons are extremely territorial, aggressive and will not run from a fight.
Training[]
The best way to earn the trust of a Monstrous Nightmare is to simply show it the respect it deserves. Placing a gentle hand on its snout and showing you are not a threat to it is the best way to go. This is proven when Hicccup showed Hookfang that he was no threat to him by placing down his helmet and dagger away.
