The Mimicore is a dragon that first appeared in Dragons: Rescue Riders.
Physical Appearance[]

Mimicore eggs are large, oval shaped that are colored sky blue covered in golden speckles and are very delicate.
Hatchling to an Adult[]
Mimicores are large bird like dragons. They have a claw on each wing they use like a thumb. they have arounded, oval like head, with a double crest that gets taller the further back it goes, coming to a point at the back of the head. The Mimicore has three toes and extra large scales on its lower legs. They have fins on each side of the tail running down to the tip. Their top color is orange and the rest of the dragon is blue. The wings seem to have greater mobility than most species most likely an adaptation that aids in their wing language.

Using Sign Language[]
Mimicore dragons do not vocalize like other species of dragons do. They are completely mute so instead of calling, they use their wings to make gestures to convey their feelings.
Strength and Combat[]
Given their appearance is similar to a Deadly Nadder, so their strength could be similar but its still unknown however they can carry a huge nest with ease.
Weaknesses[]
Because Mimicores do not vocalize like other dragons, it may leave them vulnerable when it comes to defending themselves since they don't appear to have any natural weaponry except for their fire breath.

Due to their eggs being so delicate, if not cared for carefully, the hatchlings could be in danger or destroyed suggesting that Mimicores are an endangered species.
Behavior and Personality[]
Mimicores seem to be gentle and friendly but due to them being mute and using sign language, they can have a hard time being understood by other dragons or humans. And yet, they aren't thieves as the Mama Mimicore dragon knew that she couldn't steal a nest that belongs to someone else, so she tried to negotiate a trade for it. Unless they are close to laying their eggs and don't have time to make a nest or if it's destroyed then they will find the nearest nests in a hurry.

The Mama Mimicore debuted in "Nest Day", seeking out a new nest since her old one was destroyed. So she took the comfy nest the villagers in Huttsgalor made in return for fish. But since no one knew why she was doing it, mainly because she used sign language with her wings and no one realized it until later, the Rescue Riders pursued her to get the nest back. When they did, she claimed the nest again before heating it up with her fire breath which Aggro took as aggressive behavior. When Magnus tried to forcefully move the Mama Mimicore and the nest, he caused it to be lost in the ocean. The Mama Mimicore noticed several other nests at the Roost and went to them, pushing them all together as the Rescue Riders came to try and figure out why she was doing this. It was then Leyla realized the Mama Mimicore was waving her wings the same way repeatedly leading the girl to realize that her species was a Mimicore, a species of dragon that doesn't talk but only communicate with their wings.
They learned her nest was destroyed and she resorted to taking other nests in trade because she was going to lay her delicate eggs very soon that are needed to be laid in a very soft nest. Together, the villagers created a larger, softer nest for the Mama Mimicore and her eggs and she laid three beautiful eggs before saying 'thank you' in her Wing Language.
