  • Just a heads-up, TU is releasing Freedom Hookfang for the Fourth of July this week. His description is full of easter eggs that fans of the books like yourself will be very interested in. Many aspects of the books are about to become franchise canon.

    • Also I saw an add calling this time period “Freyfest”. Might be difficult working that out whether just a game gimic for the 4th or is part of in-universe festivities.

        Loading editor
    • Agreed. That's exactly why I listed the book references as "aspects" drawn from the books rather than straight-up facts. Perhaps these book references are treated as some sort of legend in the franchise? Wether or not these book references actually happened within the franchise's world, it's still going to be very interesting to work with these references once Freedom Hookfang is actually released.

  • Just a heads-up, the seasonal market in ROB has 10 more days until it changes, which most likely means that there will be a new update next week. I remember that last update took you by surprise, so I thought you'd want to know beforehand this time.

    • Ah yes, completely forgot about that one! The two look similar, so that must be it.

I'm pretty sure that the winch is also from the Diving Bell, with it seeming to be based off of the winch used to lower the Diving Bell into the water during at the very least its tests at Lars Lake, which you can see in the middle of this image.

  • Do you think you can make a transparent render for Gravedigger’s image? It might be trickier than the other dragons in Dragons: Rise of Berk.

      Loading editor
    • I can try, but only if there is a good image to work from. The one directly from the game is poor quality. Also I probably won't be able to do the black swirly thing, unless I try to create it from scratch. I can use the eraser function, but not that great with other tools in my image app. Also I don't have alot of time and am way behind on self-appointed projects around the Wiki. If you can come across a good image though, I can tinker with it.

    • I see. Thank you for the input.

    • Tauriel's been doing alot of work with ROB images recently, so I asked her to keep an eye out for a better quality image.

  • So, in Rise of Berk there is a festival called Aegir's Week and there's also a decoration called Aegir's Drop. Do you think it's enough for an Aegir page? I'm not familiar with the policy for mythological characters, and since you created some of them I thought I should ask you.

      Loading editor
    • I guess there isn’t really a ‘rule’ for them. It is a mentioned ‘character’ so sure, make a page :) Especially since Aegir is relevant to real Vikings, too.

    • Alright then.

  • Hello Ladybrasa,

I am very sorry if all these edits have not been necessary. I was just very eager to make a contribution to the community, and I am quite a superfluous person as an author, so when I see sentences that I think I can make better, I get a little over excited and try to upgrade them to the point where it gets sort of redundant. I’m very sorry if I’ve ruined these articles- is there anything you would like me to edit? (That actually needs editing!) I understand if you have to ban me, and I’m really sorry for any inconvenience caused. I just love HTTYD, and I’m so eager to help.

Thank you for taking the time to email me!

    From Gwendolyn (The Brave)

    • Only admins have the power to ban users. You were adding incorrect information in some cases and adding too much speculation in others. But not all edits. There are a ton of pages that need information added, such as those in these categories: Category:Expansion Needed and Category:Article Stubs.

    • Thank you very much! Again, I'm very sorry for any inconvenience I caused: I was just trying to help, but I will try not to add wrong edits again in the future. :) I will go and edit those articles! Thank you so much!!! :)

  • The first three paragraphs on the Toothless and Light Fury's Relationship are word for word on the Shipping wiki's page of these two! I should know as I was the onw who wrote that on that wiki alone!

Zamyafield1028 has a habit of copy and pasting facts from one wiki onto another on both wikis. As their updates on the Stoick and Valka's Relationship were originally from the shipping wiki and the first version of the Shipping wiki's Toothless x Light Fury ship page by Zamyafield1028were were taken from this wiki, until I took it down replayed it with my own words for that wiki!

I have took down those coped facts here, but you and the other admins might want to keep a close eye on Zamyafield1028's edits in the future. Because Zamyafield1028 keeps breaking the rulers on other wikis, than just this one and the shipping, it might be best to report the guy to the higher ups who can block Zamyafield1028, as well as her other wiki user accounts from all wiki, should she keep doing this.

    • I'll refer your message to the admins (Hiccstrid and Tauriel) as there isn't much I can do, since I've already said something to her as well.

    • As I have many times in the past. The reason I contacted the others as I didn't know which one of you would get back to me first.

    • No problem. Working on a message to them now.

    • There is nothing I can do. Technically, every page and every thread and every discussion and even every chat is public. This goes for any Wiki on Fandom. Certainly there are some general unspoken 'rules' that many politely follow, but nothing like that is punishable, even if you find it rude. If someone checks out your profile on another Wiki or joins that Wiki also, that is not 'stalking'. All that information is clearly labeled for people to do so. If a user is having harrassing behavior on another Wiki, that is not something we on the HTTYD Wiki can deal with. If you are not satisfied with the other Wiki's response, I guess you could then appeal to a global moderator, i.e. a staff person for the entire Fandom site.

Please also bear in mind that none of us here can be on this Wiki 24/7 as we have jobs, school, life off the internet, sleep, etc, so we are not able to immediately respond to every message or post.

  • How do I copyright protect my work, example, like pictures?

      Loading editor
    • There isn't really a copyright protection for images on the Wikia. You can add the template: {{self}} to the image page, but this just says that the "author" uploaded the image, not that it can't be used. Once an image is on this Wiki (or any other), it is pretty much available for non-commercial use. Most people would respect a request not to use an image, though.

  • I will wait your answer

      Loading editor
    • Sorry for the delayed reply! To remove a category, you need to edit the image page. This is pretty much the same as editing a regular article page. Press the "Edit" button, then add or remove categories from the side box on the right marked "Categories". There is not an easy way to remove categories like there is adding categories to the page itself. Hope this helps.

        Loading editor
    • Yes it is but about putting categories I should stick just on the major things or I can also other categories

        Loading editor
    • And how can I organize easily the images from galleries?
