What is the problem with the images and please don't start with the word excessive beacause most of the it's just a issue to keep handling some content. And please let other users to fill in images because I'm pretty sure a hand of help it's not so bad . So to finish what's the matter that you suddenly delete all from night lights because they don't have enough images from movie.
The problem is your continual negligence of the Manual of Style, Youngtrainer.
Such a large number of screenshots from a 15-second scene is unnecessary, even if the intention is to flesh out galleries. Furthermore, taking a screenshot from every frame isn't allowed since it hurts the look of galleries, as was the previous case with Gallery: Krogan's Singetail. I don't condone what you did, but I understand it. You might do this because you're trying to give more credit to these characters in appearance, but there's nothing we can do about a character appearing just momentarily—that's on the creators. Apart from this habit, you often tend to leave a well-conditioned gallery in a poor, disorganized state, because you don't place your uploads in the order in which they occurred. By also leaving your files uncategorized, you make it harder for the rest of us to catch up and get all the pictures sorted and categorized.
Yes, there is absolutely nothing wrong with people helping out and filling in "gaps", but it is certainly wrong to be part of a community and constantly toss the rules aside despite being reminded and warned on a number of occasions over the past year or so. You are constantly treated with such actions, not because we are against you, but because we are trying to inculcate in you a sense of responsibility and respect for the rules, the likes of which are crucial to your cooperation in our aim to keep the wiki as clean, consistent, and structured as possible.
Could you have a look at this page? Because to my eye it is supposed to be deleted. Or, if you'd like to, you may create this userbox. I don't know, but please, just check this page's history and decide what to do.
I came here with a little request. Could you have a look at the images recently uploaded by this user? 'Cause to my eye they are a bit low-quality and they have black bars (in some cases not only above and below the picture, but all around it!). But I'm not an expert, so please, could you just have a look and take care of it at a pinch?
Hey, Clodaghelm :) I've just come here to tell you, that you don't need to upload new versions of images from HTTYD:Homecoming, 'cause those sent by me are taken from the DreamWorks site's source code.
Sorry for the lack of involvement in the staff forum board, but I do intend to reply soon, as I aim to be RR-educated first. At the moment, I'm just wrapping up and publishing some of the information I've come across while watching seven of the episodes of Rescue Riders before I put down my phone for the night.
I'm a little confused about the Deathgrippers? Grimmel's Deathgripper is now "Glaivedriver" and I don't see any of the others? Will they be released later, do you know? Or were we jumping the gun a bit?
Based on this revision, it looks like Grimmel's Deathgripper is now Glaivedriver. Also, would this character be worthy of having his own article?
I am not sure why the others are not present in the game yet. When I saw the species advertisement, I assumed the update would include Deathgripper acquisition, which led me to create the character pages. Seeing that this wasn't the case, should they be deleted until further notice?
I’ll go double-check, but Glaivedriver’s description has nothing to do with Grimmel’s Deathgrippers, like it’s a completely unrelated dragon. Yet a couple days ago, TU posted on social media about it being Grimmel’s Deathgripper. I tweeted at TU about it, so we’ll see if there is a response.
As far as the other Deathgrippers, I also assumed that they’d all be released. But then again that’s a lot releasing Deathgrippers AND Changewings in the same week so ... maybe they will be released in the next week or two? Maybe they are messing with us cuz we know too much :P Anyway, I’d let the pages be for now unless they don’t materialize soon.
I'm not sure we should assume Glaivedriver is one of Grimmel's Deathgrippers, since the description doesn't state it. They may have changed it for some reason at the last minute. I did tweet asking about it, but they didn't answer :( Or, if you strongly feel that it is Grimmel's then we ought to reference a tweet or Facebook post that says "Grimmel's Deathgripper". Or if you know another way you might get an answer from them?
I suppose answering such questions may take a while, unfortunately. Anyway, no problem; I'll undo the changes I've made since my claim would appear to be a little proof-based assumption, and Glaivedriver's character could be a last-minute change, as you said.
Next Update will be Christmas 2019 or January 2020. The Next New Dragon Species is Scauldron, and Singetail, and the New Hybrid Dragons or Crossbreed Dragons. Grumbling Nightnapper, Rumbling Gutbuster, Death Wraith, and Deadly Galewind are Coming Soon!
Looks like you are going to work on organizing the HTTYD 2 galleries? In case you don’t know, pretty sure there are more HTTYD 2 images in the “Unused Images” list. How would you like us to handle them so we don’t interfere with your system, as we come across them?
Actually, I've already done this in most of these galleries, just haven't gotten to some of the significant ones like Toothless' yet.
Also, thank you for letting me know about the homeless images sitting on the unused files page. It would be appreciated if you could drop those on my sandbox under ==Homeless Images== as you stumble upon them.
Done, for the moment. There will certainly be more as more images than the current 1000 are revealed. I did not add gifs and the cropped images of "unknown dragons". I figured those don't need to go in the main gallery as most likely the screenshots they originated from are probably already there.
So you probably already know, but there are three sheep types in TU. I recently acquired three colors of "Dragon Sheep", in addition to "Fancy Sheep" and "Target Sheep". Now I am wondering if each should have their own 'character' page. Target sheep appear in SoD and HTTYD2 (and probably other media), while the Dragon Sheep look most like those appearing in HTTYD3. Or perhaps Fancy and Dragon Sheep should just be grouped together?
Also, my clan managed to get the Violet Death once in the clan battles and I took some screen shots. Revisiting the question a while back - what is the Violet Death? A character of X species Death or a new Death species altogether. I'd hate to assume yet another ambiguous species, but the images don't really help one way or another. It was helpful for the Crimson Death that the TU info box said "Green Death", but no such luck here.
I recall Richard saying something along the line "There are Yellow Nadders and Blue Nadders, but they are all just Nadders." when asked about the Chromatic Deaths. Since the only actual species we know of is the Red Death, it should be listed on that page. (I didn't count the Green and any other Death because they only ever appeared in games that are highly noncanon.)
Yeah, but that was after saying they were all different species. He kind of kept jumping back and forth and to be honest, sounded like he was inserting his personal thoughts or making it up as he went along. Probably no one at Dreamworks really thought about it. What I'd really like to hear is what the designers at TU were thinking, but that's not likely to happen :(
(nevermind it was worded in such a way that could be argued to mean the Green and Violet Deaths are characters of some unnamed over-arching species ... simple is better though, and I'm glad I got a response!)
Yeah the wording really makes it seem like the Green Death is an individual dragon's name instead of a species'. They've been using "cousin of" and "related to" in very unrealistic ways, could have just made the Green Death an individual Red Death.
Maybe all of them - Red Death included - are Green Deaths. You could argue that going back to the Books. They should have just kept them all a species with a name derived from the Seadragonus Giganticus Maximus. (That's too 'Roman' and a mouthful, but they could've tweaked it to something similar). It would be great if Dreamworks just officially made a determination. Its like the Light Fury - there's been so much being said of her being a species, subspecies, 'variety' and so on, with Dean saying different things at different times, as well as other staff saying different things. Meh, they are artists and business people, not scientists. Glad the Franchise overall is generally 'science-based' as it is.

Seeing that we have a page for Fancy Sheep, I think that these other sheep characters also deserve articles of their own.
Hi Clodaghelm, I have a question regarding a fire type not introduced in HTTYD: energy. If a dragon were to possess energy as a breath weapon, how do you think that that would impact the dragon in its daily life in regards to hunting, combat, etc.?
Energy is defined as the ability to do work. Types of energy include light energy, heat energy, mechanical energy, gravitational energy, electrical energy, sound energy, chemical energy, nuclear or atomic energy and even more.
Thunderdrum use sound energy, Skrill and Seashockers use electrical energy. Any form of dragon fire contains heat energy, and is a form of light energy. Mechanical, gravitational, chemical and nuclear energies cannot be fire types.
Now how would that impact a dragon’s life when it hunts, fights, etc.? Because I know your typical fire dragon’s breath can help it burn its attackers to defend itself and roast its prey to either kill it or if the prey’s already dead, burn it to make the digestion of it easier.
Just wanted to check - My first thought was also the Thunderclaw, but at second glance the silouette just doesn't quite look exactly right? It has two very large wing claws/fingers and the sail on the back doesn't really appear very prominent but rather spiky. I am second-guessing and wondering if it might be a new hybrid instead?
Also, I see several of us are uploading images from SOD's "Curse of the Hobgobbler". Just heads up I also have some uploaded that are on my user page. I can't seem to get past the gliding part in the maze so anything after that is open season :)
I'll say. I am not too certain, but I read the comments from Twitter and people proposed the Thunderclaw, so I wanted to simply cast this option.
Also, here are some models for the Thunderclaw that might help in deciphering our "mystery" dragon:
Gyllentalon (Broad Wing)
The Valiant Vingthor (Titan Wing)
The models come from a Discord TU channel that focuses heavily on data-mining the game, in case you are wondering where I got them. In any case, I agree that it may not be Thunderclaw, since I see how the long protrusions and the difference of the chin indicate otherwise. Probably we should wait until Monday when the developers announce the fresh update, along with this new dragon.
As far as the "Curse of the Hobgobbler" images, I can delete some that I have uploaded to make way for yours as they are certainly of better quality than my own. If you want me to, that is.
Hmmm, the Valiant Vingthor model does have the two large wing fingers or claws, and the wavy spikes on the back do look like those on the silouette. Maybe the silouette's head is raised enough to have the sail obscured. Yeah, seeing those probably the Thunderclaw, but probably best to wait just to be sure!
As for the "Curse" images, you got them up first (I didn't realize how many until today!) so you have dibs. If you think mine are better of those that are nearly identical images - I'll leave it up to you ;) I didn't think yours were bad by any means. I don't mind either if some of mine are deleted either!
Okay, We Have a Thunderclaw in Coming Soon. But a All New Dragon Species are Upcoming for Update Next: Scauldron, Changewing, and Deathgripper. and This New Update, New Hybrid Dragons Next: Rigdesnapper, Thunderbottom, Humbanger, and Hoarsbrumble are Upcoming for New Update!
Actually, they plan on adding every dragon to the game eventually (this is straight from the staff). Furthermore, someome from the data-mining Discord group found notes with the names of all of the RoB dragons in the game files.
Wow, I am loving the lore and biology TU is giving with the Thunderclaw descriptions!! What are your thoughts on the descriptions of Gyllentalon and Sturmundrang? I would expect these to be individuals, however Sturmundrang has a detailed description in the Book of Dragons suggesting a very old dragon and how could Vikings know that? Unless it is a group of Sturmundrangs? And Gyllentalon - usually TU reveals gender for individuals but not this on. Also the long gone tribe must have been gone a ‘’very’’ long time, making the Gyllentalon ages old. Certainly we don’t know how long dragons can live, but it’d make more sense if it were a group and this worship occurs over generations. What do you think?
I really like how Thunderclaws were further explored in detail - of course, this also applies to every species that will eventually be added to the game, which I am looking forward to! This is one of the things I like about TU.
As far as the descriptions, I find them very interesting! As you will see, I agree with your assessment. The religious fact going on for the Gyllentalon would certainly make more sense in view of what you stated above. I agree with classifying the characters as a group, like we do for and dragons.
