Loki is the Norse god of thievery and mischief, known for causing chaos. Between Dragons: Defenders of Berk and Dragons: Race to the Edge, Season 1, the twins dedicated their lives to Loki by pranking everyone on Berk.

Dragons: Race to the Edge[]
Season 1[]

Three years after the war with the Berserkers, the Thorston twins, Ruffnut and Tuffnut, worshipped Loki by playing pranks and causing mischief on Berk.

After Hiccup invents the Dragon Fly I, failing to test it, and wants to help an injured Speed Stinger, Tuffnut prays to Loki that Hiccup would come on "their side".

When Tuffnut is bitten by a wild wolf and returns to the Training Arena on Dragon's Edge, he thanks Loki for surviving the encounter.

When the Edge is attacked by Dragon Hunters and Berserkers, and Astrid and Tuffnut are the only ones left to protect it, the latter has the idea of pranking the attackers, calling it "Loki-ing".

It is shown in "Shock and Awe" that there is a holiday called Loki Day, which celebrates Loki's birthday by pulling pranks on others. When the prank is accomplished, the instigators shout "Loki'd!" at those who fell for their pranks.

During Snoggletog, everyone puts decorations around Berk, but Ruffnut feels like the blessings of Loki are missing. She then proceeds to create Loki's Maze of Cheers and challenges the player to finish it.

In the expansion "Battle for the Edge", Skulder encounters a Mudraker which keeps destroying his camp. He asks the player for help, telling him/her about an old phrase: "Idle claws are Loki's playthings".
A wooden shield with Loki's head painted on it is a battle gear available for purchase from the store.

Loki is mentioned in the description of the Hideous Zippleback Zesty Zippleback.

Trivia[]
- Although rarely mentioned in the Book series, Hiccup prayed to Loki when trying to steal a baby dragon to train in Book 1, How to Train Your Dragon. Before entering the Dragon Nursery, Hiccup "muttered a prayer to Loki, the patron saint of sneaky exploits".
- A type of tree that grows only on Outcast Island is called the Loki Tree.
- There's also a Loki Island, wherein Dawn of the Dragon Racers, Stoick learns of a special wood that grows there that's great for building Regatta ships out of.
- The name Sleipnir Island in the Dragons: Race to the Edge episode "Midnight Scrum" is the name of Loki's son in Norse mythology who takes the form of an eight-legged horse and becomes Odin's steed.
