Linda is a character that appears in the series Dragons: The Nine Realms.
Biography[]
Studying the Kullersen Fissure[]
Linda works at the Project ICARIS base. As part of her duties, she monitors some computer systems, and operates the Drone Fleet.
In "First Flight, Part 1", while operating a Drone to weld parts of the gantry platform attached to the ICARIS Station, overhanging the Kullersen Fissure, she was almost dropped into the fissure when an earthquake hit, causing the Drone to impact with the platform. The platform section fell into the fissure. Linda was saved by Tom Kullersen sounding an alarm, and throwing her a rope. Both Tom and Linda were pulled to safety by Philip Baker, head of ICARIS Station security.
In "First Flight, Part 2", Linda noticed all the power at ICARIS shutting down abruptly, not knowing what caused it.
In "Dragon Club", Linda was annoyed by the lose of an ICARIS drone and was reprimanded by May Wong, who assumed it was an operator error. Linda claimed everything was automatic and her just was to push buttons others told her to, accidentally causing an alarm to sound.
In "Fault Ripper", Linda was present at the meeting during which Olivia Kullersen proposed to detonate an explosive in the Fissure to stop the ongoing earthquakes. She opposed the idea, but her statement was not taken into consideration by May, who approved of Olivia's plan.
Forest Fire[]
In "Uniconned", when looking for Nibbles D'Angelo looks to see if he's in the trash but instead finds a shoe and questions who would through away a perfectly good show, after smelling it he determines it was Linda who threw it away.
In "Magma Breather", Linda accompanied Wilma Sledkin while exploring sector 9 of the Fissure however when Sledkin asked if Olivia was back at base Linda stated she wasn't and was still in sector 2 but theorised that Olivia may have found although that only made Sledkin angrily glare at here. As Linda then tried calming her saying Olivia might not have found Sledkin pushed her out the way to see the laptop for herself.
In "Downpour", Linda alerted the entire station of a massive forest fire that erupted in the forests near ICARIS. To see better the affected area, Linda took manual control over one of the drones, being warned by May that she would have to pay it if she damaged it. After only a couple of minutes, flames engulfed the drone, much to Linda's dismay. However Linda informs May and Sledkin to stop the evacuation as she views the monitor to see that the fire is completely put out and is happy.
Delivering a New Discovery[]
In "Empty Fireworm Nest", Linda transported Hazel and Carla's newest animal discovery to the lab where Wilma would analyse it. Fortunately, the little dragon's life was saved thanks to Alex setting off a drill alarm and Feathers, in her cloaked form, getting the pod, in which the dragon was kept, out of the lab.
Attempting to Follow Olivia[]
In "The Night Lights, Part 2", Linda was assigned by Wilma to spy on Olivia, going by the codename "Eagle", to see where she was going. Unfortunately, she failed to catch the geologist when she slipped in a puddle and got spotted by Chief Baker, who took her to another part of the station to find work for her to do.
Encountering "Aliens"[]
In "Scent of a Dragon", when Olivia tries telling the dragon secret to Carla, Hazel interrupts gossiping about how Linda and Murray are dating. Later Sledkin uses Linda and Murray's dating gossip to mildly warn Olivia not to keep secrets from her.
In "Deep Freeze", Linda was tasked in getting winter gear from a supply outpost for everyone to wear in order to survive the cold. However, while listening to Tchaikovsky on the radio, she becomes distracted from the road and doesn't notice the large patch of ice on the road causing her to slide the Van out of controllably and get stuck on some rocks. She then contacts Phil saying the Van's stuck and she can't bring the winter gear. When D'Angelo and Eugene find her, Linda was asleep until she noticed a light, and since the windows were frosted over, she couldn't see, and she assumed Eugene and Webmaster was an alien, so she pretended to be asleep again. When Plowhorn was pulling her out she saw Webmaster's silhouette again and thought the aliens were abducting her so he tried contacting ICARIS for help but whispered into the radio. When she got back to Rakke Town she was proud to announce she brought back the winter gear but got overwhelmed by the dragons, when Sledkin sees the dragons Linda also comments that aliens are also in the forest. When Eugene and Webmaster tried to make better fires than D'Angelo and Plowhorn he blasts everywhere one of which is where Linda and Sledkin are standing.
Secretly Aiding Sledkin[]
In "Dragons Everywhere!", at some point Linda assisted Sledkin in secretly blowing a hole into the fissure leading to the Nature Realm and ransacked Dragonsite from the nest a pact of Deadly Nadders which then provoked them into attacking everything they see which made the little dragons escape to Rakke Town. Later Sledkin and Linda meet up in private.
In "Break in Case of Emergency", when Jun's Terrible Terror fails to get to the hanger and makes it into the control room and messes with the systems it makes the doors open and close repetitively scaring her off, then she ends up trapped between a vertical sliding door but is freed after D'Angelo fixes the systems.
In "Undercover", after checking on the dragons the riders notice Linda sneaking and running off to the lab at night and decide to follow her and after seeing a worn-out Terrible Terror locked in a test chamber they see Linda again replace the Terror with another one and hear Sledkin's voice and witness them using a recording of a Scuttleclaw's screech to abuse and agitate the Terror. When Sledkin discovers them and Eugene throws sour gummies at her Linda sees them and takes them back, then after Sledkin locks the riders in her office Linda continues just to eat her gummies but Sledkin pulls her away. They then go after the Terrors and capture them but Sledkin has Linda drive the van away as a decoy if the kids break out, and when they do they believe Linda has the Terrors so they chase after her with their dragons. To stop her Thunder blasts a tree down in front of her to make the van stop and gets scared when the riders confront her but is mad at Tom for shooting lighting at her, when they demand to know where the Terrors are D'Angelo finds an empty cage realising Sledkin has them.
In "Sledkin Stakeout", with Sledkin unable to continue her work due to her probation she recruits Linda to help her tunnel out of her dome and into the Hidden World by delivering a rug to hide the hole in the floor, a garden lattice to climb out off and potted plants to hide the rubble in which Linda then has to dump far away from ICARIS where no one will notice her, when they successfully make it into the Hidden World they blow up a part of a wall to gain Dragonsite but also encounter angry Cavern Crasher which their explosion injures. Later to prove that Sledkin is guilty the Riders spy on her and Linda but find next to nothing suspicious and after confronting Buzzsaw and returning to the scene of the crime and finding a detonator Sledkin and Linda arrive and are shocked to see them but Linda is grateful it wasn't the Cavern Crasher again, when the Riders and their dragons are about to get rid off them Linda is impressed thinking a stand off is about to happen. After Tom and Sledkin struggle over the detonator remote which causes an explosion trapping the riders Linda and Sledkin try moving the rocks to help them only so that they wouldn't get in more trouble but when they're unable to Sledkin makes her leave and pretends this never happened. Later when the Riders and their parents confront Sledkin Linda comes out of a room eating gummies but stands over a rug which she then slowly falls through the floor making Sledkin pull her out and reveal how they've been getting to the Hidden World.
Alliance with Buzzsaw[]
In "Heart of Glass", when the Riders think Buzzsaw is up to his usual antics they find Sledkin and Linda mining Dragonsite in which she states she's doing this since she's unemployed now. When Sledkin tries to distract the Riders with a dynamite explsoion and takes Linda to escape into the Desert Realm they encounter an angry and territorial Glass Caster who chases after them and run into the riders again and hides behind Alex for protection and cowardness. While Thunder and Dragons get scattered Linda goes with everyone else to get to safety but drops her bag and tries going after it but Sledkin pulls her away and continues running away from the Glass Caster, and when everyone is cornered in the Glass Tower the Glass Caster then ceils everyone inside. After Sledkin makes a rude comment about the dragons and demands everyone assist her in escaping the Riders deny so she orders Linda to join her and Linda whispers to them thinking the dragons are cool but Sledkin angrily demands her to go with her. When the Riders devise a plan to form a human ladder to get over the glass wall and retrieve the rope from Linda's bag to escape they unfortunately require Sledkin and Linda's help to do so, though Linda isn't happy having to support the Riders on her arm Sledkin tells her that extreme measures are needed so Alex then climbs onto Linda and steps her face which annoys her but Alex sarcastically apologises and climbs up everyone to get over the wall. Once she throws a rope line over for everyone to climb up Sledkin protests she and Linda go first until the Riders remind her about the Glass Caster, and Linda has some concerns until Sledkin assures her they won't leave them and that they'll use the kids as diversion while they escpae but Tom pulls the rope over leaving them trapped and will come for them later. When the Riders leave them Linda panics until Sledkin tells her to be quiet and then has the idea of using the Dragonsite crystal shard she has to break the glass and escape both the Riders and the Glass Caster.
In "Eugene's Lean Mean Extreme Dream Team", Buzzsaw arranged a meeting with Sledkin in which Linda accompanied her, while Buzzsaw and Sledkin were discussing how they could help each other Linda made conversation with Ford and Winston talking about how Buzzsaw seemed nice but they sarcastically comment that he isn't. When Eugene sets a one of Buzzsaw's traps releasing a signal flare Linda is impressed by it thinking it's a firework, but when Buzzsaw informs that it's an intruder he lets Sledkin and Linda ride Jack with him to see what it is. When they find Eugene and Webmaster caught in their traps Eugene lies saying the other Riders are nearby but Linda informs that Murray texted her saying Dragon Club broke up leaving Sledkin to gloat that Eugene has nothing, and when excited about her alliance and Sledkin tells him to cork it Linda states that she only does it to people closest to her and welcomes him into the fold. When Jun and Tom come to rescue Eugene Thunder blasts Linda, Sledkin and Buzzsaw knocking them down, when D'Angelo and Alex arrive and start arguing with Tom and Jun Linda wants to stay and watch how their drama unfolds. When the Riders are about to brake their way out Linda takes off her show and plans to use it as a weapon, Alex and Feathers then sonic blast both her and Sledkin down. After fighting their way out Buzzsaw yells and states they were no match for him and Linda also states they were no match for her and Sledkin as well which embarrasses Sledkin. When Nibbles comes by Linda is immediately taken back by how cute he is until he bites her which Sledkin finds amusing and lets her keep him.
In "404 Alex Not Found", as Linda helps prep Sledkin's secret lab she struggles to find Sledkin's microscope and as she tries to hand it to her but Buzzsaw angrily dismisses her making her go away.
Helping the Riders Stop Sledkin[]
In "The Great Foster Fake-Out", while Sledkin was trying to determine where the gods realm was she kept getting annoyed by Linda who couldn't stop nuzzling Nibbles despite the Bubblehorn hating it, but when Sledkin angrily yelled at her to stop and to hand her some research papers, when Linda did as she told Nibbles stole them off her and Linda chased him trying to get them back. Once she did and to pick up one more paper she becomes startled when she sees a Snowtail and then sees that Buzzsaw brought it back, Linda found the Snowtail eating the research paper very cute however Sledkin didn't and got mad by shoving the paper back at Linda and telling her she wasn't going to get paid if kept fawning over the dragons. After Sledkin storms off Linda, Buzzsaw and the Snowtail all look at eachother knowing that Sledkin was losing her mind.
In "Of Gods and Monsters", when Sledkin kidnapped Plowhorn to find the Gods Realm Linda notices Plowhorn looking very weak and how the ropes to capture her burned her neck and though she tries to inform Sledkin of this, Sledkin angrily dismisses her. Linda then asks why Plowhorn was stolen and not Thunder since he's the leader Sledkin explained the dragon has tracking skills, Linda then worries about when the Dragon Riders will come looking for her however Sledkin assures her that he rigged the elevator so that if they do come they'll plummet hard which Linda realises they'll be killed. And as Sledkin begins to grow more obsessed and sadistic in find the Dragonsite Jewel Linda begins to see that she's completely lost her mind. Later as Linda is trying to pet Nibbles but he isn't allowing her or is happy about it, although they both get knocked back hard when the Dragon Riders arrive and blast down the cave wall which Linda and Nibbles try hiding from them. However when Thunder senses them Nibbles gets scared which Linda tells him to be quiet but then is shocked to see Thunder angrily starring down at them, Linda then threatens Tom to call off Thunder or she'll unleash Nibbles on him however Tom is isn't even slightly threatened by this and has Thunder angrily growl at them which intimates Linda and makes her stand down. When the riders demand Linda tell them where Sledkin and Plowhorn are and not to defend Sledkin, Linda happily agrees not to and states that Sledkin has completely lost her mind and then explains how Sledkin became obsessed with a gem she saw in the Book of Dragons and is disturbed by how Sledkin constantly stares and even talks to it. When Jun determines Sledkin is heading for the Gods Realm which supplies oxygen to all the other realms and dragons, she realizes that if Sledkin tampers with it could kill the Hidden World, which scares Linda thinking about Nibble's safety. Then Tom asks her she if knows anything to track down Sledkin, to which she tells them about a picture on Sledkin's phone Alex gets the idea to find them and asks Linda for Sledkin's phone number.
Physical Appearance[]
Linda has auburn hair, kept in a short ponytail, hazel eyes and wears glasses.
She wears a long-sleeved blue overall uniform with boots as her work uniform, along with a black belt.
In Season 7, she wears a greyish blue sweatshirt with a white tie and grey jeans and sneakers that are white with colored stripes.
Personality[]
Even as a skilled technician, she appears to easily hesitate when she gets stressed and things go wrong, like when she believes Olivia's idea to blow up the fissure to stop the earthquakes was crazy.
Abilities, Talents, and Skills[]
- Technical Operator: she can operate computers and control drones. Although, she can be a little clumsy due to her hesitation.
- Driving: she is shown to drive a buggie and a van very well. But when she's distracted by something, like her favorite rock music, she can end up crashing.
Relationships[]
Tom Kullersen[]
When Linda first met Tom, she questioned what he was doing on the viewing platform, but as it collapses, Linda is about to fall off it and into the fissure until Tom saved her and got her safety. However, as she started working for Sledkin she was still friendly to Tom, but he began to despise her for assisting her in trespassing in the Hidden World and harming the dragons, but as Linda joins Buzzsaw's alliance they are both enemies at each other. It isn't until she sees how obsessed and dangerous Sledkin has become with stealing the Dragonsite gem and how she badly treated Plowhorn that she turns on her boss and helps Tom and the riders by giving them her number so they can find her. Though what happened to Linda afterward is unknown, it is likely she became an ally of his.
Dragon Club (group)[]
At first Linda is on good terms with them however they do think that she is incompetent and even after meeting their dragons she thinks they're cool however as she started assisting Sledkin they began to despise her for assisting her in trespassing in the Hidden World and harming the dragons, but as Linda joins Buzzsaw's alliance they're all enemies to her. It isn't until she sees how obsessed and dangerous Sledkin has become with stealing the Dragonsite gem and how she badly treated Plowhorn that she turns on her boss and helps the riders by giving them her number so they can find her. Though what happened to Linda afterward is unknown, it is likely she became an ally of theirs.
Olivia Kullersen[]
At first Olivia is friendly with Linda and defends her when may accuses her of failing to operate a drone stating something else broke it. However after learning that she and Sledkin almost killed her son and the other kids she becomes angry with her.
Philip Baker[]
Whenever Philip needs assistance with some maintenance issues for something he usually turns for Linda to assist him, however at times he knows he usually can't trust her as when she crashed the van with the winter gear he knew she didn't pay attention to the road because she was listening to music. When he found out that Sledkin and Linda tried to kill his son and the other kids he was furious at her and when she and Sledkin escaped he attempted to after them but failed.
May Wong[]
Due to Linda's clumsiness May doesn't usually trust Linda at her Job especially how she destroyed a very expensive drone in the forest fire, and after assisting Sledkin in unauthorised Dragonsite mining and almost killing her kids in the cave-in she especially wasn't happy with her and most likely terminated her as she ran off with Sledkin.
Wilma Sledkin[]
Wilma has been seen to treat Linda harshly if she talks to much or damages ICARIS equipment. But Linda has been seen being loyal to her, like trying to deliver Fireworm Glowmer to the lab to be examined by Sledkin, attempting to follow Olivia and report where she's going, and helping her secretly and illegally mine dragonsite from the Hidden World with explosives. She and Wilma escaped the wrath of the other ICARIS employees for the time being, but were targeted for going against probation.
But after realizing how obsessed Sledkin had become with the gems, and seeing how badly she harmed Plowhorn, Linda no longer wanted to be a part of any of her schemes and gave Sledkin's number to the riders so they could track her phone and rescue Plowhorn. It remains unknown if Linda learned of Sledkin's death.
Murray[]
It is revealed in "Scent of a Dragon" that Linda and Murray, the night watchman, are dating. And despite Linda running off with Sledkin they still talk to each other and inform each other of the latest gossip around ICARIS.
Nibbles[]
Linda found Nibbles very cute and admired him but he doesn't like her and bites her finger. Despite this, she continues to take care of him pretending that his bites mean that he likes someone.
Leonard Burne (Buzzsaw)[]
Despite being apart of his alliance, Buzzsaw thinks of Linda as incompetent and annoying like Ford and Winston, and even can snap at her when she interrupts him. However, they both agree that Sledkin is too obsessed with Dragonsite and cares nothing about the well-being of dragons as seen in The Great Foster Fake-Out.
Ford and Winston[]
Though they rarely interact, they do sympathise with each other in being mistreated by their bosses and fearing them.
