Kallaidospur is a Deathburple that appears in the game Dragons: Titan Uprising.

Official Description[]

Kallaidospur is one of Berk’s most colorful Dragons in more ways than one. Part of the reason for this is that it’s not possible to tell if the Kallaidospur is male or female. In terms of behavior and appearance, they show traits that are ‘normal’ to either gender of the Deathburple species. The only conclusive manner of determining gender is if a female lays eggs. Given the Deathburple tendency to co-parent, however, there is only a brief window to know for sure.

At one point, Fishlegs was obsessed with figuring this out, but made several mistakes in his process. He left the Kallaidospur in an enclosure with a male and a female Deathburple, hoping to catch them in the act of egg laying. The shy Deathburples frustrated his attempts, however, waiting for Fishlegs to leave for the night before the eggs were laid. When Fishlegs returned in the morning, he found all three Deathburples sharing the nest, each one caring for the eggs as if they were their own.

At that point, Fishlegs remembered his previous experience uncovering Meatlug’s gender, and decided that it really didn’t matter. The Dragon’s gender would never be as important to their value as their winning personality, friendliness, and deadly battle skills. These traits would all speak for the tremendous awesomeness of Kallaidospur regardless of whether they are a boy, a girl, or something else entirely.
