The ICARIS Probe is a machine used by Olivia Kullersen and Philip Baker to descend into the Kullersen Fissure in "Fault Ripper".
History[]
Dragons: The Nine Realms, Season 1[]
In "Fault Ripper", the Rakke Corp built the probe as part of Olivia Kullersen's plan to descend into the Kullersen Fissure and blast the last earthquake's epicenter, in an attempt to prevent further earthquakes. The probe was brought to a platform the day before the mission. That night, Tom, Jun, and D'Angelo used the probe to go inside the Fissure in an attempt to find their dragons. D'Angelo swung the probe back and forth so that Tom and Jun could jump on the wall of the Fissure. However, Philip Baker and two other guards noticed the swinging probe and brought it back to the surface. The following day, Olivia and Philip entered the Probe and were lowered into the Fissure until they reached the last earthquake's epicenter and used the Probe's rocket launcher to detonate the spot. Unbeknownst to them, a Fault Ripper attacked the Probe, knocking Olivia and Philip unconscious. The Fault Ripper rammed into the Probe several times, causing it to get stuck in a rock formation, and preventing it from being pulled upwards. Fortunately, Tom and Thunder freed it, and an ICARIS worker brought it to the surface. The Probe remained in Rakke Corp's property.
Physical Appearance[]
The ICARIS Probe is a silver spherical container with golden bars connecting it to a crane-like structure. It has several small round windows and a larger one on the front.
Functions[]
Exploration: The Probe was specifically made to allow people to safely venture down into the Fissure and explore it.
Explosive: The ICARIS Probe has two small rockets attached to it that can be launched using a lever and pushing the button on top of it.
