House Grimborn (also known simply as the Grimborns), are a family of Vikings of the Dragon Hunter tribe. The Grimborns were chosen as the chiefs of the tribe.
History[]
Both Ryker and Viggo Grimborn acted as enemies towards the Dragon Riders. Viggo was the leader of the Dragon Hunters until Ryker betrayed him in "Shell Shocked, Part 1" and stole the Shellfire. Viggo then aided the Dragon Riders to defeat his brother and kill him. He then captured Astrid and offered an exchange for the Dragon Eye, which Hiccup threw into the volcano on Dragon's Edge. Viggo was thought to be smarter than Hiccup as mentioned by the Tuffnut.
Viggo helped the Dragon Riders defeat Ryker, and was assumed dead at the end of "Shell Shocked, Part 2" until he joined Krogan and Johann in "Return of Thor Bonecrusher". When Johann dropped a cave on him, a Monstrous Nightmare saved him, changing his view of dragons. He sacrificed himself to save Hiccup in "Triple Cross" when his plan to steal the Dragon Eye from Johann and Krogan failed. This rendered the Grimborn family extinct.

- House Grimborn might not be extinct as Lars #2 is stated to be Ryker's and Viggo's cousin. Since he deserted in "Edge of Disaster, Part 2", he is likely alive.
