Gory-Gummed Gronckles greatly resemble regular Gronckles, but in addition they have a tortoise-like shell on their backs. They are also much bulkier than regular Gronckles.

In addition to the abilities of regular Gronckles, Gory-Gummed Gronckles produce a sticky and slippery drool. It is unknown if the drool has any other properties.

Both Hiccup and Stoick fear that Very-Vicious' untrainable dragon is a Gory-Gummed Gronckle, meaning that the dragon is aggressive and hard to train.
