Geography[]
“ | The depths of the Thunderbolt of Thor were a glorious but rather unnerving sight, all drifting mist and oozy grey-green sludge at the edge of a rushing river. | ” |

The Gorge of the Thunderbolt of Thor is located in the northern part of the Mainland, in-between Uglithug Territories. It is a very deep canyon, with one end of it being in the Bay of the Broken Heart. There are numerous caves on both sides of the gorge, where Poison Darters live.
On the bottom of the gorge there's a river flowing towards the sea, with muddy banks where Bulrushes grow. There are several pinnacles of rock in the middle of the river, on top of which female Throatgoggler make their nests and lay eggs.
Appearances[]
How to Train Your Hogfly[]
Young Vikings have to traverse the Gorge of the Thunderbolt of Thor during the Young-Warrior-in-Training-Dash-Down-the-Slalom-of-Death race. After the Hogfly heads down into the gorge, Hiccup follows it, struggling to avoid the Poison Darter arrows. The Hogfly disturbs the sleeping Throatgogglers and steals an egg from underneath its mother, before returning to Hiccup. The boy grabbed the dragon and headed out of the gorge, with the mother Throatgoggler in pursuit.
