Gobber's Guide to Battling Dragons was a series of short videos accompanying the release of How to Train Your Dragon. Each video was narrated by Gobber the Belch, with him appearing in the sixth video.

Dragon Training Lesson 1: The Deadly Nadder

Lesson one: The Deadly Nadder. Fact: Dangerous. But, if you can stay in it's blind spot, you'll be safe.

This video featured Astrid battling a Deadly Nadder, who is presumably Stormfly. She learns about the Nadder's blind spot, but get blown away by fire for failing to stay in the blind spot.

Dragon Training Lesson 2: The Gronckle

Lesson two: The Gronckle. Lazy, cranky, with a devastating fire attack. But, it cannot produce fire if its head is wet.

Fishlegs enters the ring to face a Gronckle. The dragon lays down to rest. Fishlegs dumps a bucket of water on it head, however, he finds out it was the dragon's tail instead.

Dragon Training Lesson 3: The Monstrous Nightmare

Lesson three: The Monstrous Nightmare. The most aggressive and powerful of the dragons. Snotlout! In to the ring!

Snotlout enters the arena and grabs the mouth of a Montrous Nightmare and holds it shut. Though the dragon cannot breath fire with its mouth closed, it smashes Snotlout into the ground and bites him just as the video ends.

Dragon Training Lesson 4: The Hideous Zippleback

Lesson four: The Hideous Zippleback. Sly, surprising, but certain noises can confuse it.

Ruffnut and Tuffnut rush into the ring to confront a Hideous Zippleback, banging their weapons on their shields and running around. This confuses the dragon for a moment, but then the Twins start arguing with each other, allowing the dragon to grab them by the heads.

Dragon Training Lesson 5: The Night Fury

Lesson five: Know your dragon's shot limit.

Hiccup faces off against a Night Fury. He blocks three blasts from the dragon with his shield, and assumes the dragon's shot limit has been reached. However, it has not been reached and Hiccup is blasted out of the arena.

Dragon Training Lesson 6: The Terrible Terror

The Terrible Terror. The smallest of the dragons, but no less ferocious.

Gobber himself enters the ring and talks about the Terrible Terror and notes that the dragon hisses before its attack. A Terrible Terror runs around Gobber's back without him knowing, hisses, then attacks his face as the video ends.
