Glowmer is a male Fireworm that first appeared in "Empty Fireworm Nest ".
Biography [ ] In "Empty Fireworm Nest ", while flying through the Fire Realm, Glowmer landed on Alex 's bag and went inside it. She, unknowingly, took the dragon out of the Hidden World and into her dome. There, Glowmer flew around the room until he was noticed by Carla , who quickly caught him in a glass container. Hazel saw the dragon, as well, but assumed it was a species of lizard . The two women decide to study him, much to Alex's concern. Both Carla and Hazel considered the dragon to be cute and decided to keep him in their dome. Later, Alex and Jun planned on taking the dragon back to the Hidden World, and lied to Carla and Hazel so that they would leave Glowmer alone. The plan was unsuccessful, however, as Eugene took the container with Glowmer inside, eager to show his mother the discovery. Fortunately, Jun was able to trick him into giving up Glowmer, but she and Alex were soon caught by Carla and Hazel, who took Glowmer back. Just then, Linda arrived and took Glowmer to the lab, where Wilma Sledkin was waiting to study him. Alex caused a distraction and Feathers went inside the lab camouflaged, bringing Glowmer back. The two girls took the Fireworm back to the Hidden World, where he reunited with his pack and regained his glow when one of the other Fireworms gave him a kiss.
In "Scent of a Dragon ", while the group were thinking about telling their parents about the dragons Alex mentions how she wanted her moms to be reunited with Glowmer.
In "Deep Freeze ", as the group were thinking about telling the adults Alex tells Tom how her moms were beginning to miss Glowmer.
In "The Great Foster Fake-Out ", when Jörmungandr began rampaging throughout the realms Glowmer's safety the riders brought him and some other Fireworms to take refuge with other defenceless dragons in the Lair. Although due to so many refugees overcrowding the lair Glowmer tried escaping a couple of times only for Alex and Feathers to catch him which began to frustrate them. Although when Tom cam up with the idea for the Rakke Employees to foster the dragons Carla and Hazel were happy to foster Glowmer again even after Alex informed them they also needed to foster two other Fireworms to keep Glowmer alive which they didn't mind, although they took them to the infirmary thinking their glows were dimming. While the Carla and Hazel were observing Glowmer and his friends they were surprised by Mr Rakke 's sudden appearance so Glowmer was hidden underneath a box but the other Fireworms got out only for Jun and Eugene to discreetly capture, once Mr Rakke left Carla and Hazel were relived he didn't see Glowmer or the Fireworms.
Physical Appearance [ ] Glowmer is a typical-looking Fireworm, with golden glowing scales and black stripes along his sides. His wings are light grey and his tongue is purple-blue.
