The Gembreaker Guard[1] is a subspecies of the Gembreaker that appears in the show Dragons: The Nine Realms.
Physical Appearance[]
Gembreaker Guards are similar in appearance to regular Gembreakers, with the only difference being their tails, which end in a rounded structure, similar in size and shape to the round Dragonsite gem in the Gods Realm.
Abilities[]
Gembreaker Abilities[]
Gembreaker Guards have the abilities all Gembreakers possess. These include loogie bombs, high sense of smell, great strength, and a nasal horn capable of breaking most rocks.
Behavior and Personality[]
Gembreaker Guards have a natural instinct to protect the round Dragonsite gem in the Gods Realm from any intruders.

Season 8[]
In "Of Gods and Monsters", when Wilma Sledkin entered the Gods Realm in an attempt to steal the Dragonsite gem, two Gembreaker Guards attacked her. She quickly subdued the dragons with her electrical baton. When the Dragon Club showed up to stop Sledkin, the Gembreaker Guards attacked them, which allowed Sledkin to take the Dragonsite gem. Fortunately, Plowhorn was able to communicate with the Gembreaker Guards, calming them down and making them understand that the Dragon Riders were on their side. However, with the gem having been removed, this stopped the release of oxygen in the cave air. Soon enough, the Gembreaker Guards became exhausted due to the lack of oxygen.
In "Ragnarok: Part 2", when Jörmungandr attacked the Gods Realm in an attempt to destroy the Dragonsite gem and kill everything in all the realms, the Gembreaker Guards helped the Gem Blaster to try and stop Jörmungandr, but they were overpowered and badly weakened. Thankfully, when Tom and Thunder chased Jörmungandr off, the Gembreaker Guards were grateful and continued their duties guarding the Dragonsite gem with the Gem Blaster. At some later time, the Gembreaker Guards were recruited by D'Angelo to fight off Jörmungandr and stop it from reaching the surface world.
