How to Train Your Dragon

The hunting dragons of the Viking Initiates create a huge fight amongst themselves during the Final Initiation Test on Thor'sday Thursday, when they were supposed to be demonstrating their obedience. None of the boys of the Hairy Hooligan Tribe or the Meathead Tribe are able to gain control of their dragons. This fiasco leads to an Elder Huddle comprising of Stoick the Vast, Mogadon the Meathead, Terrible Tuffnut, the Vicious Twins, Gobber the Belch, the Hairy Scary Librarian, and possibly a few other unnamed individuals.

The Elders consulted for a long time. Mogadon got angry at one point and swung a fist a Tuffnut. A twin held on to each of his arms until he calmed down again.
  — Book 1

Ultimately, the Elder Huddle decided that all the boys failed the Initiation Test, and were to be banished.
