Eggingarde is Bearcub's sister. She first appeared in How to Ride a Dragon's Storm.

How to Seize a Dragon's Jewel[]
When Hiccup arrives at Prison Darkheart, he sits down at a table next to Eggingarde. When he asks about Fishlegs, who Eggingarde used to be friends with and had seen him be dragged down into the sand by the Monster of the Amber-Slavelands, she tells him it's bad for morale to talk about the lost. She tells him the routine of the Amber-Hunters, and that she has been in the prison for as long as she can remember. She also explains that she is a Wanderer, and Hiccup notes that she reminds him of someone who he can't remember. That night Eggingarde tells Hiccup a story about what happened to Fishlegs (though she insists it is not true), scaring Hiccup, Wodensfang and Toothless in the process. She goes Amber-Hunting with Hiccup and Stoick, and that night is rescued by Camicazi's Escape Team. She says goodbye to Hiccup and Cressida reveals that Eggingarde made it back to her Northern Wanderer Tribe, to her scary grandmother, her Bear-Mama and her little brother Bearcub, who is the same young wanderer Hiccup befriended in How to Ride a Dragon's Storm. It is unknown what happens to her after that.

Eggingarde is said to be a very little girl, 'with dark, straggly hair and huge doomy eyes.' She wears a Bear-suit, and looks like her little brother. She is said to be very serious for a small person, and a wonderful story-teller. Although like any other child, she misses her parents. After she saw Fishlegs be dragged away under the sand, she is afraid of the monster who has apparently dragged away everyone in the bed next to her (when it was really Camicazi's escape team) but isn't scared of anything else. She is described a lot by Hiccup as 'Doom-y.'
