Plot[]

After a comet flies close to the Earth, a series of tremors shake the Hidden World, separating Thunder from his family. He starts searching for them in the Bio Realm, but only encounters aggressive Skrills and Gembreakers. While exploring the realm, Thunder comes face-to-face with a Fault Ripper that made her nest atop of a cave full of Gembreakers. He defeats the giant dragon, earning the gratitude of the Gembreakers. In return, one of the Gembreakers, Plowhorn, joins Thunder in his quest. The two of them move on to the Ice Realm, where Plowhorn activates Fire Crystals with her loogie bombs to keep them both warm. Here, they encounter dragons fighting over Fire Crystals, including Speed Stingers, Razorwhips, and Snow Wraiths. As Thunder and Plowhorn reach the end of the realm, they come across a giant Fire Crystal protected by a Screaming Death. The two of them fight it off, but Plowhorn is unable to activate the crystal on her own. From around a corner, the Mist Twister Wu and Wei appears and helps Plowhorn shoot the crystal with fire. The three of them take off and venture into the next realm.

In the Fire Realm, Thunder notices a Titan Wing Skrill, realising she must be the reason the Night Lights were separated. He then hears a Night Light call and follows it around, unable to tell which direction it's coming from. Wu and Wei use their ice blast to cool down magma so that the dragons can walk over it. Here, they fight off Whispering Deaths, Deathgrippers, and Eruptodons. As they progress, the caves become more and more unstable, with lava rising from the ground and engulfing everything. They find a giant Catastrophic Quaken, the reason the cave were filling with lava, and fight it off. Thunder then discovers that the Night Light calls were coming from the Featherhide Feathers and is disappointed he is nowhere closer to his family. Still, he is grateful for a new member in his team. The four dragons fly towards the horizon, determined to find the Night Light pack.

Emerging in the Dark Valley, Thunder hears an ominous song coming from all directions, luring other dragons towards it. The song also resonated with certain crystal, making dragons' bones stronger. Only Feathers can neutralize the crystals with her sonic blasts. In this realm, they fight off Dramillions and Flightmares. After a while, Thunder notices that two Night Lights are among the dragons that are lured in by the song. He follows them, only to find a Death Song hypnotising dragons that are about to become its meal. The four dragons defeat the Death Song and free all the dragons under its lure, including the two Night Lights. Thunder reunites with them, and they lead him to the rest of the Night Light pack. However, their reunion is short lived when the Skrills led by their Titan Wing Alpha attempt to claim the territory in the King's Realm. Thunder, Plowhorn, Wu and Wei, and Feathers work together to defeat the Titan Wing Skrill and ensure a safe home for the Night Lights.
