How to Train Your Dragon Wiki

The Deathly Galeslash is a hybrid between a Deadly Nadder and a Stormcutter that first appeared in the game, Dragons: Titan Uprising.

Official Description[]

Elegant, determined, and lethal, the Deathly Galeslash inherited the best flying traits from its parent Dragons: the Deadly Nadder and the Stormcutter. Although difficult to train initially, a bond with this breed is a lifetime union. They are deeply loyal, highly protective, and immensely intelligent. Second only to the Night Fury, the Galeslash is a natural leader and powerful warrior. Their intelligence means they use lethal force only as a last resort, and are keen to rely on clever tricks, traps, and intimidation above all else. Not many Vikings are up to the task of standing down this powerful ally to Berk.
Like the Nadder, Galeslashes have an adoration for chicken (much to Tuffnut's dislike), are somewhat vain, and fly like the wind itself. Yet they tend to be more serious and calculated, much like the Stormcutter, and as such are recommended to older or more mature trainers.

It was during the early morning hustle and bustle of New Berk that Vikings spotted a majestic dragon flying straight towards campus. The double set of wings was the first thing many of them noticed, and as soon as it landed in the middle of the isle Vikings were quick to identify it.
The Deathly Galeslash resembles the Deadly Nadder but the double wings from the Stormcutter is what helps it stand out from the many dragons found on campus. This Sharp Class dragon has the ability to detect air current helping it fly faster and zoom through the sky.

Physical Appearance[]

Egg[]

Deathly Galeslash Egg

A Deathly Galeslash egg is medium-sized and oval, with scale patterns all over it. It has several gray spikes for protection. The egg is mostly purple, with few blue and pink spots as well.

Hatchling to Adult[]

The Deathly Galeslash's overall build resembles the Deadly Nadder, with light Stormcutter influence. They have two pairs of wings and three whiskers on each side of their heads, as well as a three-finned tail. As a hybrid, this dragon's scales are a mix between its parental species.

Abilities[]

Magnesium Firepower[]

Deathly Galeslashes are able to breathe bright orange magnesium fire, which they inherited from the Deadly Nadder parent. The fire comes out in a tornado-like shape, trait which they inherited from the Stormcutter parent.

Air Current Detection[]

Hah! Stupid dragon still has a blind spot — OUCH! [src]
Tuffnut, finding out a Galeslash can detect air current

Using their four wings, Deathly Galeslashes are able to detect changes in the air currents. This allows them to use the currents to their advantage in flight and have no blind spot.

Keen Eyesight[]

Did you know that a Galeslash can see a yak's eye from 1000 feet?! [src]
  Fishlegs

Deathly Galeslashes have excellent eyesight, for they are able to see small things from far away.

Behavior and Personality[]

Like their Deadly Nadder forebearers, these dragons love to play fetch with shiny, man made objects!
  Dragons: Titan Uprising

The Deathly Galeslash's behavior falls somewhere in between that of each parent; they are intelligent, very active, and playing fetch with them keeps them entertained. They also tend to be aloof and can be intractable if their respect is not earned.

Deathly Galeslashes are so intelligent, that they tend to prefer strategies that confuse their opponents. Some individuals like Copsekeep have even played Maces and Talons.

Training[]

Incredibly intelligent, yet steely and aloof, the Frigid Galeslash makes training an exercise in patience. They key to befriending this dragon is for the rider wait quietly in the cold nearby, sometimes for hours on end. Eventually, the Galeslash learns to respect the rider, and its heart thaws enough to allow bonding to begin.
  Dragons: Titan Uprising

Deathly Galeslashes require respect before they decide to submit to a rider, usually through feats of strength or resilience. They are also a bit high maintenance due to their intelligence and activity levels.
