Christopher Michael "Chris" Sanders (born March 12, 1962) is an American animation director and illustrator. He graduated from the California Institute of the Arts in 1984. Chris was the director and screenplay writer for How to Train Your Dragon and the executive producer of How to Train Your Dragon 2 and How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World.
Biography[]
Christ Sanders was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA. He fell in love with animation at the age of ten after seeing Ward Kimball animated shorts on The Wonderful World of Disney. He went to Arvada High School in Arvada, Colorado. Chris decided to apply to the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) when his grandmother told him about the animation program at school. He graduated by 1984.
