Cauliflower is a vegetable mentioned minimally in the How to Train Your Dragon Book series.

Cauliflower is a vegetable of the species Brassica oleracea, of the 'Botrytis' cultivar group. This means that, though appearing very different, cauliflower is actually the same species as broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, collard greens, and kale.

Typical cauliflower consists of a white 'head' of tightly packed floral tissue. White varieties is the most oft-seen, but the head can also come in purple, orange, or green.

In the Book series, cauliflower is mentioned as a descriptor of something else, particularly of crumpled-looking ears - 'cauliflower' ears.

In reality, cauliflower is a well-known and consumed, nutritious vegetable.

How to Speak Dragonese

Cauliflowers are mentioned when describing Big-Boobied Bertha.

Big-Boobied Bertha stomped on board, her beard bristling. Fist like sledgehammers, ears like cauliflowers, she had once stunned a stag with one blow of her mighty bosoms, and many a smaller animal had suffocated in their stern depths.
