| “ | Deep in the depths of the Haunted Marshes, Briarvane holds court. Usually she is found in a circle of toads. The Dragon is so obsessed with these hoppy little creatures, that she will hunt them for days, depositing them into an inescapable hole until it has a sufficient number of them to perform her weekly toadbath. It is a well-guarded secret, but these toadbaths are exactly the reason that Briarvane’s spines are so deadly: by rolling in toads once a week, a potent venom found in the skins of the common river toad is excreted all over the Dragon’s skin and spines. This venom, a potent nerve-toxin, gives Briarvane’s spines narcotic qualities that make her one of the most fearsome Dragons known to vikingdom. |
