Biography[]

Meeting His Adoptive Father[]

In the episode "Bing! Bam! Boom!", his brothers Bing, Bam, and he were found playing on a sea stack by Hiccup and Stoick. And while they left the dragons on the sea stack, the brothers followed them to Berk and caused havoc the following morning. In an attempt to train them, Hiccup brought them to the Berk Dragon Training Academy where Ruffnut and Tuffnut named them. Boom's name was originally going to be "Lloyd" as chosen by Tuff but was changed to "Boom" by Fishlegs to make more sense. But Tuff still called him "Lloyd", and at one point even "Darren". When training them proved impossible, the Riders brought them to Dragon Island hoping they'd feel at home with the other dragons. But they kept returning to Berk, and when the Riders tried to leave them at Dragon Island again, it was learned that they were being bullied by the wild dragons there. Thornado defended and protected them, and when another attempt to leave the baby dragons didn't work, Stoick decided to allow Thornado to stay with them to protect and raise them.

Answering a Distress Call[]

Boom, along the rest of his family, was seen among the dragons that were summoned by the Berserker Bewilderbeast during the final battle against the Dragon Hunters.

Escape from The Reaper[]

During the events of the Expansion "Call of the Deathsong" in the School of Dragons, the player discovers that Bing, Bam, and Boom were mysteriously locked up in the Reaper's hull. After rescuing them, both they and Thornado return to the School of Dragons to live there.

Physical Appearance[]

Boom shares his purple color with the wild Thunderdrum that appeared in "We Are Family, Part 1" as well as Whirlwing, who appeared in "How to Pick Your Dragon" and Earsplitter who appeared in "Imperfect Harmony".

Personality[]

In "Bing! Bam! Boom!", it was shown that Boom is very mischievous like his brothers. He is also very friendly.

According to the Book of Dragons in Dragons: Rise of Berk, he is the most unruly of the three brothers.
