Bonnie Arnold is the producer of the How to Train Your Dragon trilogy, as well as the first three shorts. She also partook in the film maker's commentaries for both the first and second films. She is also the president of Feature Animation at DreamWorks Animation.
Biography and Career[]
Bonnie grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, where she would eventually study at the University of Georgia and earn her B. S. in Journalism. She then went on to Boston University where she'd earn an M. S. in Journalism. Her career as a production coordinator started at age 29 in 1984 with the film The Slugger's Wife. But her big break came in 1990 when she was given the job as Associate Producer in the movie Dances With Wolves. She had since joined Disney and Pixar to work on the first Toy Story film and Tarzan. After her work with How to Train Your Dragon, she's primarily stuck to other productions in the Dragons franchise since, though another DreamWorks Animation feature, Shadows, has recently named Bonnie as one of its producers.
DreamWorks Animation named Bonnie co-president of feature animation in early 2015 after they fell on financial troubles. She has been tasked with overseeing creative development and production of all DWA's theatrical releases. In 2016, Bonnie became the sole President of Feature Animation for DreamWorks.
