Biography

Trapped by a Death Song

Blazewing was traveling with his rider, Arick Denson, as well as with Arick's Brother and his Thunderdrum. Blazewing suddenly became enthralled by a mysterious song, and swooped down to investigate. It turned out to be the call of a Death Song. The predator dragon spat out its amber and caught Arick and Blazewing in it, midair. Had it not been for Arick's Brother and his mostly deaf Thunderdrum, the pair would have been killed.

“	The Death Song is perhaps one of the most dangerous dragons that I’ve ever encountered. Behind its enchanting voice and beauty, there lies a creature vicious enough to eat its own kind and possesses the ability to imprison an entire village in the amber it spits out. I once had the misfortune of encountering this vicious dragon when I was out flying on my Monstrous Nightmare, Blazewing, with my brother on his Thunderdrum, Wingburst. We heard the most enchanting song. Immediately, Blazewing started to fly in the direction of the singing, with me desperately trying to steer him away and that’s when I caught a glimpse of it: the Death Song. Its wings were beautifully colored and patterned, and frills covered its body. It reared its head back, and out shot a reddish-orange substance from its mouth that encased my dragon and in the blink of an eye, we were falling through the air, my dragon’s wings trapped within the amber. As we plummeted downwards, I shrieked as I saw the shadow of the Death Song hovering overhead. Then, a boom cut through the chaos. My brother swooped in on Wingburst who caught us with his long Thunderdrum tail and carried us away from the Death Song’s clutches. I looked at my poor dragon encased in amber. At least we were both alive and had avoided becoming the Death Song’s dinner.	”
