Bellworthy is a typical-looking sheep, with white wool and black skin. Being a Dragon Sheep, he wears a leather dragon costume, decorated with green stripes and white spines.

- Bellworthy is the first playable sheep in Rise of Berk and the third non-dragon animal to be introduced as a playable species after chickens and turkeys.
- "Bellworthy" may be a play on the word "Bellwether", meaning a leader.
- Despite being an herbivore, he is fed with fish.
- In real life, herbivores occasionally eat meat when either plants are scarce or when nutrients are deficient.
